For reasons I would prefer not to disclose, I have given up growing the herb for the time being. But I love to grow, so I'm trying to switch to more legal plants. The problem is I lose interest in growing boring spider plants and what not. So what do you guys think are the coolest, and most interesting legal plants around?

So far, I have one of each:
Chocolate Habenero
Lemon Basil
Hops
Bhut Jalokia
Miracle Fruit

Any thoughts?

A plant I really like is the 4 O'clock plant. The flowers are vividly colorful and the aroma of the flowers is very nice... and potent. I like to pick a 4 O'clock flower and put it in my girlfriend's hair.

I wanted to grow artichokes, like really badly, but it takes like 2-3 years to make a seed into a viable plant. I've been searching for a root rizome for quite some time, so I can skip the time process, but so far have been very unsuccessful.

Morning glories are cool and all, but I was never really satisfied with them.

And I've never heard of lilly's 'star gazer' before, but I'll look into it.

how about iboga (very hard to find though, and illegal in the USA, as it can stop drug dependence in one dose, or some plants with DMT maybe, a few salvia plants etc.. shit the list just goes on and on.

I've grown salvia before, wasn't all too impressed.

Generally speaking though, I'm not really looking for a legal smoking plant, just a cool plant to grow. Since I'm moving to a legal grow area, I'm trying to keep my passion for growing. If all I grow is like roses, I'll likely get bored with it and want to switch back to illegal plants, which I'm trying not to do.

I've always found carnivorous plants interesting to grow, but rather hard.

There was also a plant called "the sensitive plant". It was neat where you touched it, and the flowers would curl up.

fig, and believe it or not ive seen a cutting brought back from Florida to climate zone 4. it was rooted and planted outside in the ground and cut back in the winter. and damn they taste good
