Generally speaking though, I'm not really looking for a legal smoking plant, just a cool plant to grow. Since I'm moving to a legal grow area, I'm trying to keep my passion for growing. If all I grow is like roses, I'll likely get bored with it and want to switch back to illegal plants, which I'm trying not to do.
I've always found carnivorous plants interesting to grow, but rather hard.
There was also a plant called "the sensitive plant". It was neat where you touched it, and the flowers would curl up.
You should try carnivrous plants, I grow them and I love them
Honestly, most aren't that hard to grow, some specific and rarer nepenthes are super difficult but in general, they are quite easy
If you are truly interested, i can help you get started

We could plant them all over and then start calling the cops to report them. It will waste their time.
Don't do this with your own property. Use a park or some government land.
Of course, also plant marijuana seeds around government buildings.

What type of carnivorous plants do you grow, if you don't mind me asking?

Salvia divinorum is a good easy grow. You can just keep picking off leaves and it keeps making more. No need to wait for specific harvest times or any of that.

You could grow some mimosa hostilis for rootbark
or even one of the many mescaline cacti... (probably still the ultimate natural high).

if you grow salvia and chew on freshly picked leaves do you trip?

Can you actually grow a salvia plant? I've heard that they are hard as hell to grow, and you can't even get seeds for it.
About the carnivorous plants. I have been growing them for years. From seed, they take about 2-5 years for them to flower, so you better get going! haha.
I currently have Venus Fly Trap, Cobra, Yellow Trumpet, Hooded Pitcher, Sweet Trumpet, Purple Pitcher, Pale Trumpet, and 3 kinds of Sundew plant. Really cool plants, if you have the patience to grow from seed.
