well, ive done this in the past in a greenhouse, but its somewhat amusing to see the reactions of people by growing a plant by the name of false aralia, it looks a lot like marijuana! kind of a fun little project

Hot peppers are always a great choice.

I've been cultivating my own special purple Thai Chiles since I found a few purple ones on a should be all red plant.

I take the seeds from only the hottest and only the purple ones each year.

Mint, you can create your own varieties by mixing and mingling different strains together.

I like to grow (legal) herbs and peppers myself.

And the money plant is cool.

Default heirloom tomatoes
some heirloom tomatoes are hard to grow but they are very pricy in the market and there are so many colors to choose from.

So far, I have one of each:
Chocolate Habenero
Lemon Basil
Hops
Bhut Jalokia
Miracle Fruit

Any thoughts?
How do you like your Miracle fruit tree? Do you think its possible to take a cutting from that plant and get it too root?

It's very hard to grow. I got it as a two leaf seedling about 4 months ago. Right now it has 3 main leaves, and a small 4th one. I'm hoping that it was spending that time getting used to the environment and now it will start growing quickly.

If it takes off, and turns bushy, I'll try and clone it. Why do you ask, interested in a clone?

The plants themselves are rather pricey. One gallon plant is like $30-$40. I got the seedling for $12. If I had to do it again, I'd probably get the full plant though.

And seeds? forget it. They have like an 8-12% success rate.

Where did you buy your hops seeds?

If you are growing indoors you could grow some regular herbs. I like borage, it improves my garden soil and has cool tiny blue star shaped flowers on it. I like sage and thyme too, they smell so good. My cats love the catnip. I grow all my stuff outside, except for the regular houseplants that can't be out in the cold.

If i had more space, I'd probably have a few tomato plants under my HPS.

In fact, i think I'm going to start a few tomato plants indoors this spring. My family gets real competitive with them in the summer, I'd like to get an edge on this years compeition.

Ebay. But I found it easier to get a hops rhizome instead.
