zekedog, i dont mean to be a pain either, but im not about to tell where i got my seeds. specially to someone asking for o. poppies. that sounds like fishing to me. just do some looking around. they are everywhere.

you can get them at kmart. i saw them there today. they are legal.

Well I understand what you're saying. All in all I am really curious as to learning more about this and honestly maybe I mentioned it in a wrong term but why would I want any other kind of poppies?

so yeah I have been looking in to this more and for indoor growing I actually read that the veg cycle is 12/12 as opposed the the flowering 18/6 or 24/0. Its absolutely opposite from marijuana....Anyhow I am going to start growing these bad boys as soon as I learn more about it and how to get the most out of it

Zekedogg, have you read of successful indoor poppy growing? seems like it would be tough. their roots spread waaay out, very lateral.

from what i have seen your numbers are prob right. if sown in the spring they flower at the peak of summer.

I was down at my local Wally world buying 8 6500k CFLs, walking back to the cash register in the garden center (where I parked) I passed a rack of seeds.. What really caught my eye was "Salvia." I was like No Way! Salvia Seeds!?? Then I figure might as well find poppies too, there were 2 kinds, California Poppy and Hens and Chicks, I got Hens and Chicks.

Can I harvest the great opium goo from Hens and Chicks?

im not sure, but I dont think they sell the O producing poppies in the store. You wan to look for papaver somniferum or papaver gigantium seeds. I know the first one is the O producer, and I think the second one produces O as well, i could be wrong though.
