hi, im helping one of my friends select a strain for his 2010 outdoor crop in the middle of michigan.
question is if any of the tga seeds will do well outdoors and finish on time(end of sept-middle of october)? and he is looking for a more sativa buzz if possible. the Jtr would be awsome, or something like jillybean.

so are there any good early outdoor strains by tga? and he is using subs super soil.

Qleaner, Vortex and Void....going to be a fun winter. I'm actually looking forward to some shitty weather and a slowdown in work so I can hole up and work with these strains that Subcool gifted me. Oh and cant forget about MzJills creation, the one sole survivor Jillybean who is growing wonderfully. Not sure of its sex yet....leaves are very wide and sawtooth...orange skunk pheno
maybe.
A new and larger grow room that i built inside of a spare bedroom this fall, adds to the excitement. I currently grow ww, ice and bb and frankly I'm quite sick of the widow, bb is very tasty, but a low yeilder (my headstash) and the ice pheno I have is a very fruity and very strong, clear headed high. A real favorite. I expect these might take a back seat as we get on down the road a bit.
Six seeds of each strain, soaked overnight in water, in rapid rooters under a dome with a couple of flo's above them.
Lets get crackin. Peace out.

There is always a danger when accepting clones or cuttings of bringing in pest or problems along with the new acquisitions. Even if a clone appears...

There is always a danger when accepting clones or cuttings of bringing in pest or problems along with the new acquisitions. Even if a clone appears perfectly healthy it can be transporting mites or mildew and this can really put a damper on our already work intensive hobby. There are several ways to help prevent transfer that I will cover in this article but the first and most important is a simple rule.

When accepting a clone assume it has mites and treat it accordingly. What does this mean? In a word Quarantine!

Now I grow organically but when it comes to dealing with pest I choose a nuclear warhead when it comes to prevention and I dip new clones/cuttings into Avid. While the precautions on this systemic pesticide look pretty heavy there are two main factors that rest any fears I have. First I do not spray the product at anytime but mix per label directions and use as a dip. The second is my research uncovered the fact that Avid is used heavily in my local agriculture on many berry and fruit bearing plants so I am already consuming large quantities most likely. Some growers chose to use more Earth friendly products like Neem Oil but Neem is really hard on the plants and does not always insure a full kill.

The proper way to apply Avid is to dip the clones as soon as they arrive and then again 3 days later assuring all emerging eggs are also killed. Mites have a life cycle of three days. I will actually treat clones and then place them inside a dome and use duct tape to seal it shut. This prevents any pest from escaping and infecting your garden. I am also a fan of Pest strips and again make no mistake these contain a controversial toxin called Dichlorvos and it is a carcinogen but I guess its really according to how bad you hate Mites or as we call em “The Borg”. I would never use them around flowering plants but I have been known to tape one up inside a dome with newly received clones.

This is my first time growing out JillyBean, and I am very impressed so far. Still haven't harvested any yet, but we've been checking the trichs and they look like they have about another week or less left. A lot are still pretty clear, the majority are milky, and none are amber. She is 9 weeks into flower right now.

Very easy grow. A little mildew problems early on into flowering, with high RH (70-80% YIKES!). Got it taken care of and now it hovers around 60% with no problems to be found.

Very bubblegum smell for sure.

All organic soil.

the juggernaut is great...but the astro quees is outta' this world! I actually preffer it to the spacebomb...don't get me wrong- spacebomb is probably higher thc; but astro has alternating taco shell/watermelon tastes that just blow you away! it's more meaty with a more pronounced body affect(disorienting). the ortega makes itself known; and I'd never even tried ortega. the plants are mildew magnets, but seem to care less. the bottoms of the leaves are unreal fuzz factories- really viscious lookin' weed! a totally unique taste. I hit it with vortex pollen to increase the apollo content on the next round. I'd give it an 8. I'd like to see some ortega/garlic/roadkill skunk action...that would rock(hint-hint)!

it turns out that nutella smell is actually my compost. it's in the blue dream, which has no spacequeen. and of course, everything else that's supposed to be sweet is off the chart! I have a name downtown for the best tassting weed in the county. I have yet to see better weed. people say-"yeah..everybody says that..." until they smoke it!!! -proof's in the puddin'! ..if you're in santa cruz county, and you have something better; let's see it! I hear 'em talkin'...but I don't see 'em walkin'! the thing I have over most growers here is my biodynamic compost which is over a year cooked...with last years apples(this year we got L-bam- ed ), coffee filters, green teabags, jack lalane juicer pulp, lockheed fire ash, fish bone meal, blood meal, bat guano, cow and dog crap, azomite, oyster shell, humic acid, and the biodynamic preps. my seedlings can handle(love) it...and I don't need to foliar feed or do any tricks. just water every other week with the compost tea. that tea is like homeopathic super blast. I can't recommend it enough!;-)

Hi Sub,
I've got some Pandora's box that i'm getting ready to germ. I chose pandora's box because it seems like one of your most potent?, and anti-depressant strains? ( I hope) I was just wondering if you agree, and can confirm that for me :bigjoint: Thanks man...much respect~

I am debating this, seeing as how I am just making for one batch. So, heres the question. I can either make subs supersoil concentrate and mellow it out, or I can make a hybrid of Sub and Vics methods to make my opinion of what would be a great balance of the two

If sub reds this lemme know what you think but I know that you don't want to advise me this is good or bad because you have not tried it. That's alright man :) Anyways if it seems a little cool or hot to the sounds let me know and please I wont hold you to it!!! :blsmoke:

Well, I bought two big compressed bales of promix BX. That should fill nine 7 gallon pots and leave room for some amendments. I plan to add:

Quote:

				30 pounds of earthworm castings
2.2 pounds of peruvian seabird quano (10-10-2 nice and balanced no bat quano in this recipe)
4 pounds bone meal
4 pounds blood meal
2 pounds rock phosphate
5 pounds kelp meal
5 pounds Green sand (I am resusing the soil, so I am hoping to see the micro organisms break it down good. There should be a lot as well with the kelp meal added)

Hope all works out well, and I will keep you all updated to let you know weather I fail or not! I am interested in this seabird quano as well!!!
