Short summary of my growing past:

Ive been in the game just over a year and have done particularly well. Ive only ever grown Kush and have only ever grown SeaOfGreen (ie between 50-130 plants per light) and have only ever grown in soil. With 600 watt bulbs my best pull was 1.4 lbs per light after 2 months (5day veg 56 day flower) and with 1000watts it was 2.5lbs per light after 2 months. But now I am completely changing my growing style and I need your help!

Instead of 130 plants per 1000w bulb i'm changing to One plant per 1000w bulb or even one plant per 1x1k bulb +1or2 600w bulbs.
Reason being ive become fully legitimate medical grower and have a plant limit (25 plants) and want to maximize yield with with the legal amount of plants.

Goal (which i think is reachable within half a year) is 4 lbs per plant. 4x25=100lbs twice a year.

How im gunna do it:
1) your help
2) Heavy yielding trees (probably jack herrer?)
3) Growin in Coco
4) TONS OF LIGHT from 1000w-2200w per plant
5) Room to grow (10-12 foot ceilings)
6) Heavy co2
7) Proper training/nutrients
8) Immaculate plant care
9) State of the art growroom
10) canna boost

QUESTIONS: (if anyone can answer these all you are my god)
1) When researching trees it seems people are using multiple 600w bulbs instead of any 1000watts. Why is this and is this the best way? Dont 1000 watts emit light deeper? Can a combination of 600 and 1000 be better? IE 1 1000w on top plus two vertical hanging 600watts around the edges? Your thoughts please

2) Coco has seemed to be the best medium for growing giant trees (10 footers hopefully). Any objections? plus what kind of coco?

3)Strain. So far as i can tell im finding jack herrer to be a very heavy tree yeilder, but anyone know of any other strains that grow giant in size and massive buds? Would love to find out! and i know theres comparable if not heavier yielders than jack herrer.

4) Switching to hydro/coco: Considering ive never grown anything but soil what am i looking at in terms of switching to 20gallon pots of coco? I know the basics but if anyone could run over the fundamentals for me would really appreciate.

5) Proper pruning/training for giant canopies. So we have 6 pruning methods to think about:
1)Topping
2)Fimming
3)Supercropping
4) Semi-lollipoping (or just pruning lower branches)
5) Bending
6) No pruning

Firstly what square footage am i going to need for one big tree? you think 5x5 are will do or should we go 6x5 or 6x6? The shades will probably be adjust-a-wings depending on what size and probably some vertical shade-less supplementary lights.
PRUNING: Which/What combo of the 5 options should i use to maximize yield potential? early FIMMING, or early Supercropping? Pruning lower branches or leaving them? Bending during veg and tying up during flower etc. Would love input.

General question: Is flushing really a myth? If so why do so many people flush and are insistant on flushing?

Im sure I will have more questions to come, the project will be starting in a couple months so i wanna jam pack my brain with info from all sides to get the best results!

thanks for reading
smoker

PS I know ive flamed ppl like a stupid child before on these forums and i genuinely apologize for those actions, still got some growin up to do..

does anyone know if this is a good meter. It looks like itll do everything i want it to. was wondering if anyone has this unit and if its difficult to calibrate. I dont know much about digital meters, are they difficult to calibrate. This one doesnt come with a solution wondering if it'll be easy to use and accurate.

Hey what do you think is the most important additive to finesse your flowering stage (besides the regular macro/micro)?

Fulvic Acid - Assists roots with nutrient breakdown and uptake.

Kelp - Feeds the microbeasties and also feeds the roots organically, great at all stages foliar or regular as an all around plant tonic.

Mycorrhizae Fungus or Bacteria - Microbeasties help the plant root nutrient uptake systems

Guano - Feeds the microbeasties, very great nutrient in any organic grow.

Carboloads - (Canna Boost, Sugar Daddy, etc.) Carbohydrates which are broken down and assist the plant in producing its own carbohydrates stimulating resin and robust growth.

PK boosters (Fox Farms dry solubles / PK 13/14 / Awesome Blossoms) - Chemicals get it done.

Other - Something else? What really kicks your buds into shape?

Is this true?
does a cloned plant produce weaker clones each generation?
Aren't clones genetically identical to their mothers?
doesn't quite add up

.

I've been thinking on and off about air flow in the garden and how any intake vent on the bottom side of the grow room is going to curve up to the exhaust and air in parts of the garden may be stagnet. I've seen some cabinet grows with air intake vents under the floor so I drilled 120 x 1/2" holes in the 8' x 3' floor of my flower cage and made the rest of the cage more air tight. My cage floor is 34" off the room's floor. The cage walls stop just below the cage floor to allow lots of air flow.

I rolled my walls down and right away I could feel a positive air pressure. I stood up on the air floor with the walls down and I could feel a breeze coming up through the holes, all over the floor. When I put the plants back their leaves were shaking slightly from the breeze. Now I'll see if the fresh air coming from under the leaves makes the plants grow better.

I didn't want to weaken the 1" plywood too much so I drew a grid with rows and columns 3" apart and skipped every second spot on the grid. I'm going to use a 1" drill bit to ream out some of the holes on the two end panels,to increase the air flow away from the air exhaust in the middle of the cage. 6" between holes in a row or colum, ~4" diagonally. The area of a 1/2" hole is ~0.2", a 1" hole has an area of ~0.785".

.

My floor is cut into 4 sections of 24" x 37", I drilled 30 holes per panel. On the seams I drilled every spot because there was nothing to weaken. The faint circles are where each of the 12 buckets go when the garden is full.

The grid feels like a low flow air hockey machine.

.

The Light Rail and closed interior, the air exhaust on the middle left. Putting the Reflectix roof on brightened the room more than I thought it would.

basically i have this grow i am working on involving 7 diffrent plants still vegging from seed... they are all growing at various speeds... i have 7 vitamin water bottles taped together in a circle turned upside down with the bottoms now being the top openings and the cap having drainage holes... i am using approx 25% perilite and the rest soil... i would have used more perilite, but have grown with this mixture before and had success... only to get a male, but yeah... back to the new shit... what i am wondering is this...

do you guys have any info on soil sog.. watering techniches... ways you guys water your sog's if not using a dro setup... do you guys grow sog from seed? what factors do you think the dif strains will play? all are completely unknown schwag bagseed... hell who knows, i may get all males... but if i dont, i sorta wanna know what the fuck i need to do to make this work...

i planned on topping, fimming, possible lst... not really sure what it will need or what i can do to give it a even canopy... or should i say what i am going to HAVE to do... i also plan on vegging for a min of a month and a half hoping that would allow all the plants to reach height of about 8 - 12 inches... i know the indicas are gonna be a lil bushy and may not even reach the height of some of the sativas so there will be a height that they all may have to be lowered to... time will tell... hopefully...

if your not gonna post links or any helpful advice, please dont post shit... i am really curious if i can do this... i have just finished off a micro bonsai style grow that quite a few people said were impossible with what i was using, so i know that this IS possible... i just know i may need alot of help to get through this grow... that is why i am posting in this thread... hopefully some grow vets can help me out on this one...

i will be posting piks of it all tomorrow... i have piks of all 7 sprouts in the thread in my sig... i had them in yogurt cups then.. i transplanted them into the homemade planter i described earlier, last nite...

thanks in advance for any help you may have for me...

i'll go ahead and post piks of the sprouts and my whole rubbermaid setup in general... i plan on reaching a height even with the top of one rubbermaid and letting the second one on top stacked and filled with all my lights... prolly gonna use around 462-508 actual watts of cfl lighting... i figure i still have awhile to flower so i am sorta dicking around getting to finsihing that box... besides the point... here's the piks...

i dont guess it would matter that i have only grown out a sativa dom plant?
