As in a pink or orange or red color? I know it wont give of quite as much reflection but i have sufficient lighting anyways so I'm thinking using a different color may have different/ profound effects on the turn out of the buds....

A Question About Exhausting via Furnace Ducts

Just wondering... Would running a 6in carbon exhaust from the G-room into a heat duct while the furnace is idle cause issues?
(pilot light, humidity, etc.)

The idea is to push warm air down to the basement which acts as heat sync and maybe gets some airflow down there too. Would this work? Or would the air just be trapped in the furnace and kinda seep out?

In the winter, I would be pushing the air under the door crack to be up-taken by a large air intake grid adjacent the room and boost the furnace's efficancy. In the summer, the furnace isn't sucking any air in, so it would just cook the upper floor of the house.

I have considered piping the exhaust out the window, however it's a densely populated urban area, and I have concerns about cops or competitive neighbor-growers hearing that soothing whorl of air, or smelling that dank herb in bloom, then barging in to crush my life lol. Also, i have the window in stealth black out mode, so high airflow there would create a lot of movement of the coverings.

Any insight or experience here would be really helpful guys ;-)

I will be using a 600w hps/mh digital ballast with 6'cooltube, 6' exhaust fan & carbon filter. the maximum size I can build45'x36'x79' I plan on 4 maybe 5 babies...... I have never seen this before but I thought it was a good idea,(FEEDBACK ON THIS IDEA WOULD BE NICE) in my design I have my passive intake inline with cool tube so cool air will always be flowing over the bulb. then into grow area, and the exhaust is prety standard<a href="http://www.rollitup.org/attachments/grow-room-design-setup/2702663d1371478345-first-grow-box-blueprints-rough-dscf2951.jpg" title="Name: DSCF2951.jpg

Let me start by saying if this is in the wrong section i apologize. This is my first post:) I can honestly say ive been trolling every post for the past few years and now things are starting to change legally and states closer to me are getting medical marijuana. So some relatives of mine have asked me for some help in setting up, maintaining, and well...pretty much everything. I have a pretty good budget. id say about 3-5k$ to work with. One person has crohn's dissease and another has suffered from injuries in neck and back and another has suffered from an extreme carwreck in her 20's which left a steel plate in her back and screws in her elbow. So in theory these guys hate traditional meds after an overdose from a friend. Just giving you this insight before you chime in with some good info. They are interested in a few specific strains and tinctures for their ailments so strain may not be an issue. They have been researching themselfs the different hybrids and indicas for pain But if a strain is good for certain types of grow feel free to mention your ideas.
Now im going to be using their attic with about 200 sq ft of space. They live in one of the most southern tropical states so im thinking heat may be an issue. The attic actually has 2 air vents in the ceiling coming from a heat pump system so airconditioned and carpeted flooring. Its a full finished room basically. They want to keep the operation no matter what i use available to tear down and put away if anything happens ouf of their control, unexpected long stays away, chance of moving (not likely its a huge house) etc etc. I have been looking at the 8 x 8 or 10 x 10 grow tents. I have read many home built SOG with the panda film but im not sure i could fabricate anything close to being as easily accommodating as some of the grow tents. So if you suggest one of these vs a manual built one please inform. (thanks in advance). I also have read Jorge Cervantes' book im sure most of us are aware of and watched all of his DVDs and pretty much been trolling the forums for info on hydro vs soil or aero etc. im looking to do about 40 -50 plants. They will be full size fem from seed at start then cloning son on and so forth..
OK now....
This is my first cannabis grow.

If using the tents should i do a soil grow for an easy buffer? Or should i go with a hydroponics setup? or i could even go with the aero's ive been just recently learning about. I have very extensively researched the life cycle of cannabis and have been a smoker for a long time so i think i can handle even some of the most difficult operations. I have one of the best gardens on the street honestly with some difficult flowering tropical trees. Im trying to find the best setup for maintaining a certain line of product that has consistancy and i can expect the same outcome via everything Goes accordingly every grow plus or minus a few yields. So from your experience or your own methods or discoveries feel free to chime in on what you would do if you had 2 10 x 10 gorilla grow tents. I dont have an issue with cloning or even a SOG automatic hydroponic setup (which was what i started with mentally...initially.) Thanks in advance. I dont like being spoon fed but im sure alot of the guys out west are alot more advance in hands on and way more friendly than us southern east coasters. Ive done alot of research and im just now getting the info on where and how i will be allowed to setup. Much love to everyone so far for providing me info in starting this pretty awesome adventurebongsmilie

Hey Im looking to make a 2.5x3x7 grow cabinet similar to a superbox (http://supercloset.com/product/grow-...-grow-cabinet/)
This cabinet will have a single or dual fan cool tube, probably a 1-200w carbon filter exhaust and a 600w digital balast hps light.

What would be the best possible hydroponics setup/system for maximum yield and quality while remaining in a 2.5x3 foot area?

So far im leaning towards a dwc system but dont know if individual buckets or a single reservoir would be better?
Also I am thinking about putting in a co2 system like in the "supercloset", is this a good idea in a small space, and if it is or not would putting in an intake fan be a good idea?
Also considering getting a reverse osmosis filter if i can fit one, and price is no issue here.

Please answer my questions, comment and make suggestions!
Any better ideas for a 4-5 plant closet would be great!

Hi

I have a few Q's regarding my setup and the Electric, I'm from the UK so everything is on 240v.

In my room I will be running 4 x 1000w HID lamps, Load split evenly over 2 separate double Plugs either side of the room.

All on 1 32A RCD/MCD breaker, I will also have a multitude of osc fans and duct fans amounting to about 400 watts worth.

Then I will have 1 or 2 1000w oil radiators on at lights off.

My questions,

Is the 32A breaker's limit 7600w? 7600/240 = 32.08 or there abouts

If I was too only want to be using MAX 80% of the 32A, So would that be roughly 6000w available at a safe level?

If I time my oils rads to only come on once all lights have gone off, Should it be fine?

Most the time I will be using 2 x 1kw and 2 x 600w, But there will be a few weeks where they overlap and I'm using all 4x1kw at once for 12 hr periods, I just want to sleep well at night

Thanks guys!

Just scored a 3'x3'x84" tent. Only planning to run 2 plants at a time ( that's the plan anyway). Thinking of using a 600 watt light with a 6" fan and filter combo in there. The light would be dimmable and going to put speed controller on the fan. Don't plan on expanding anytime soon. Question is do ya'll think that's overkill for a tent this size? Or would I be better off with a 400 watt light and 4" fan and filter combo and save the money? Thanks all in advance for direction in this.

Hi guys
Due to my setup, i have to consider hanging one of my lights parallel to the ground with wire.
These are the bulbs i am using http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001AZOV9K/..._26725410_item
The wire is thin metal wire i had lying around the house, was used for a model I made during school.
Picture of the wire http://limabeanlover.files.wordpress.../stick-man.jpg ignore what it is haha, just an example of what im using.
Is it okay to have this wire around the end of the bulb and another around the base. Will having this wire on the bulb while it is running cause the bulb to break or will it be A okay?
Cheers for any help
