I'm a first timer with a few Q's. I have a sensi growing outside I lucked into, as i have no idea how it got started other than the occasional seedling being tossed out in preparation. However about two months ago I noticed something that looked familiar growing on the backside of the house but I didn't believe what I saw being the leaves weren't rigid and it didn't look like what i commonly see in the mags it was bout 1' 6" then.....i went out of town a short while ago and returned with my fiance this past weekend and we were out on the back porch when she first noticed the smell then saw the vegetation itself and she pointed it out to me that it was a sensi. We talked about how this could happened and we also took note of the fact I have a metal halide light looks like it says 175 WATT emitting a white/blue light that was installed to deter burglars. It seems the plant was growing toward it. The light is set to go on when it gets dark for the reason stated and it seems at night it really takes to the lamp. It is now about 6' 3" tall and seems to be pre-flowering (how we determined sex) been reading up....I live in Texas and it is now in mid November my question(s) to you are should I begin flowering and if so should I increase the wattage of the lamp even though it is outdoors or should i cut the lamp off completely to give it its full 12hr dark period. Its tricky to me being that its outdoor but I'm not sure if the sun or the lamp is responsible for growth and what the flowering cycle should then be if the lamps is responsible its doesn't seem possible for dark cycle. Also we were thinking of transporting, it is starting to get cold here and we are not sure if it will survive. A more ideal location is a few hours from here and shelter can be provided being its starting to flower we don't want to lose the crop we've been blessed with. Since it is in late stages is this an option to explore.

Will appreciate any help

I'm about 1-2 weeks away from harvesting my crop and now I'm thinking about next year. I checked the 2010 Farmer's Almanac for the frost dates, which are Dec 4 and Jan 2 for Sacramento. But I'm six hours drive further south, closer to LA.

I can't find a solid guide that tells me my area's zone. The city to the north is zone 8, the city to the east is 10, the city to the west is zone 11. I'm just guessing but I think I'm in 9 or 10.

I usually never pay attention to frost dates to much. That's because I usually just buy small plants and put them into my raised garden bed. Even annuals survive through the winter here. It's the Sana Ana winds that's more of a problem, blowing down fences and trees.

But this next grow I really want up my game. I just got my hands on some good seeds: LA Confidential, Fucking Incredible, and a mix of seeds from Nirvana seed bank.

The grow will be organic and in a raised bed with my own soil mix. When do you guys think is the earliest I could sow the seeds?

I was thinking I might be able to get away with the 2nd week of Feb, and I wonder if in anyone in SoCal managed to pull it off around that time or sooner. I know spring starts in March, but fuck me that's feeling like forever and day. haha

I live in England so the conditions are -okay- and I was wondering if anyone else from england could possibly recommend any strains of weed that would be ideal for growing outside, In any condition preferably (the sooner it can be planted i.e. december the better)

So if anyone has any hints, tips, anything to get the best yield as well as quality then that would be greatly appreciated, or if you could point me in the direction of guides as to a "how to" that again would be great :)

Okay, basically I had a bunch of bag seed and i put the majority of them in little mostly random holes in two large 8'' buckets. I didn't bother with germinating mostly because I was curious if they would even sprout.. after about a week about 20 or so have sprouted up... Almost all of them have shown their true leaves... and one is already developing its second set.... It's becoming too cold outside, so I am going to move them indoors so I will obviously need to transplant each plant into its own pot...The problem is that there are a few clusters of sprouts very close together and I'm curious if I should just cut my losses and just pick the healthiest one of the group to transplant...
