Newbie needs help I have attached a few pictures of my plant...it started out with a seed had the young plant inside until June then it went outside until early Sept....now the leaves tend to look downward and the white feathers (as I call them) on the buds are turning a soft shade of rust....would someone be kind enough to tutor me?????

I know many say to stay away from alum foil to avoid hots spots from the walls, but what about the bottom as a catch pan?

Also, I have some old sun visors laying around and wondering if those would be beneficial "walls" to reflect light back to the plants.

1)Out door closet(where I vegg)this closet is huge and keeps very cool,But theres no possible way for me to vent when Im not there,I can vent this room when im home for about 8hrs a day(keeping door cracked )

2)indoor closet , I can vent with window but have to get inline fans and tubing ,Closet is small not as much room to grow

There is absolutely nowhere in my area to purchase the things I need so I am forced to order them.

Again, I am looking for somewhere discrete, as I am not keen on having the police show up at my door because I purchased some lights and nutrients.

The same person that said this also said that if hps lights are used during the budding phase it will produce more of a couch lock effect when the buds are smoked, compared to if mh were used only in the budding phase, it would produce more of a mental high effect. Has anyone experimented with this?
I know that some lights have different effects on the amount of bud produced but my question is about the effects of the trichomes.

These clones are small so im trying to give it ~400 ppms of 15-30-15

When I do that, the pH drops from ~8.7 to 6.0.

So I use baking soda, and get it back up to 6.7 (im in soil). Then I stick the EC meter in and it says 750 PPM.

Obviously its the baking soda making the ppms fly sky high apple pie but is there actually 700ppms or is that just off and its really still the 400?

You can see the plants are more than double. My buddy had temps too low but you can see the difference.

i started this thread for all first time aerogarden growers who may have some of the same questions that i have. i have learned the best aerogarden to get is one that has at least 3 lights included in the kit, like the veggiepro i just purchased.
the height and lighting are very important. i also recommend you get the aerogarden master gardner growing kit. this kit emables you to plant your own seeds. HERE IS A QUESTION I NEED ANSWERED. Without burning 9000w in a single room, what would be the best suggestion for the amount of lighting for a veg and flower room. Cash is not an issue and neither is room.

First) I am torn between using florescents or a MH for my vegging room. I'm assuming that I will have at least 2 mothers and 40 clones. I am looking into 6x4 florescents, probably 2 or 3 of these. I know that this will work vegging, but I want the best for vegging.

Second) I am fairly sure that 400w lights won't be the way to go. I was thinking a 1000w HPS with the mini sun soaker plate, but I'm pretty sure that this will not be enough for a 12 (to 18) plant garden. What should I throw in with this?
