I ordered some seeds and was given a free Blimburn AK Auto seed. I want to start the seed but have no space in my veg room. Can I put it in my flowering room from seed? How harmful is 12/12 from seed to my yield? I'm growing dwc if that helps. Also, I was told the plant flowers when the roots hit the side of the bucket. germinating by paper towel method with taproot being in contact with the paper will it induce flowering? May sound crazy but I just like to cover all basis. Thanks in advance.

Hi all.
ive been growing many years happily, but decided to give a auto strain a go,but have a problem.
i got a 10 pack of magnum by budda seeds, all cracked fine, grew for around 15 days, then first signs of flowering started on 9,but not on one( which is the nicest looking plant)
Now 21 days into flower and one still has no signs of being auto at all,and the other 9 have not added any weight or furthered in there development. The heads are about the size of a grape.
i have them on 20/4 light schedule under two 600w lights, one hps,one halide, very good air in/out,There in 10litre pots, and have good structure and healthy stems and leaves. Im lightly feeding them plant magic old timer organic feed, and used biobizz allmix soil.
im confused as to what im doing wrong,as i have never done autos before now.
can anyone suggest what to do now?
Im considering dropping the light hours but this makes autos pointless if you have to go to 12/12,id rather use my photoperiod strain and get a healthy crop.
any help or advice greatly appreciated.
regards
Here's some pics of my plant 5 weeks old let me know what you think and btw their is some yellowing on the bottom fan leave I posted a pic about a week ago and someone said it might have been because I splashed some nutes on it and it got burned but it has gotten worse so help is appreciated anyway to the pics

Hey RIUs, been a long time, but I'm back. My last grow was "okay", learned a bunch with photo, and looking forward to doing more photo again soon.

As I just made my new veg cabinet, and happened to get a free Afghan Kush Ryder seed, it is a perfect time for a rest, and an "easy" grow, while I ready my plans for my flower cab. I will soon have a two stage grow setup, and can't be more pleased.

As you probably do not know (since I haven't been around and never posted this section before :P), I am a CFL user. I love them. Low heat, easy to acquire, cheap. I only run 2 or 3 plants at a time, and I'm about to run just 1 auto for now anyway, so I should be good on light. I plan to use 4 CFLs, 3 red and 1 blue, later adding a 5th and 6th as she grows stronger, also 1 red and 1 blue.

My space is 12x16x24. It's a bit taller, but the lights of course take up some space. It is the perfect space for 2 plants to veg at a time, and start two more each time those go to flower - but since I'm in for a break, and wanting to try this auto thing out, I'm going to run the AKR in there, all the way through, 20/4.

I have Fox Farms Happy Frog (2 gallons) that I plan to add 1 gallon of perlite to - good idea? Good soil and perlite mix for this plant?

I have NOT decided on nutes yet, and it is my FIRST oganic soil grow - Previously, I used some Schultz mixed with some basic soil and some cactus/succulent mix (just to make it less muddy, it was shit, and then it grew me two awesome plants!) - This time, i didn't want to ghetto the guess work, so researched a bit, and settled on "trying" Happy Frog - should I add the perlite, or no? Should I do 3 gallon bucket in this space, or just 2 gallon? Will 3 gallon outgrow my space? IF this auto outgrows its space, can I just take it out and place it out back or in my window to finish? What kind of nutes are a must? Can I use the blue shit? I am NOT picky about chem vs organic, not enough experience to be so yet! I would LIKE to keep this fully organic, but I have NO idea at All whether I will need veg nutes (won't my happy frog last until flower nutes time anyway?), whether chem will be fine for flowering, or even what kind of flowering nutes I need. I been looking around a lot and can't decide. I thought about buying some 2 or 4 ounce "self made second hand samples" of tiger bloom or something like that, but I don't want to until I hear from the people here!

Guys, I just want as much input as possible, and will add whatever info I should have added but didn't! I am set to plant this bad girl TODAY, I am pretty sure that's alright, right? I have my soil, my box, and my lights - now I guess I just need to plant and go, and follow you fine people's input when it comes time for flower? Or am I wrong? Anything I should change about that soil? Does it NEED the perlite, should I do it for sure, or just consider it? Thank you so much in advance, I love you all.

Grow Love,
1 250 watt hps
1 150 watt hps
65 cfm vortex
constant temp varies from 76-86f
soil is mixture 1/2 and 1/2 of ff ocean forest and organic's
using the fox farm nutrient trio (i dont measure, i just eye and use the "too little is better than too much" until they are happy) <---obviously isnt working well for me now. Had this problem with earlier harvest too...

Here is the problem:
There is some nutrient burn on the tips, the bigger problem is that my bottom foliage is yellowing and falling off. 2 crops ago when happened i over juiced and fried them, just last time it happened again and i lost like 90 % of my sugar makers. Now its happening again....any advice?<a href="http://www.rollitup.org/attachments/auto-flowering-strains/2665632d1369125850-afgan-kush-problems-pic-photo-5-21-13-12.57" title="Name: Photo on 5-21-13 at 12.57 AM.jpg
