I'm always short a few lumens..lol I am using a 150 w hps & a 250 w hps and 5 cfl's as side lights. I have them as close and I can get them. Maybe I need to dump that 150 for another 250 next grow?
Are your buds tight from your cfl grows? My Big Bud is pretty fluffy and my WW is okay, but not tight. I have chopped some of the ww and I do like the sample, even uncured it's nice, but I think another week for the rest..then curing....I need more patience.

Yes, raise the lights, and turn them off when spraying.

Until you can do better, do this:

8 Step Recovery DRAIN and Replinish
Thanks bro, that eased my mine . Didn't know these things were so damn resilient. That's pretty amazing. I'm sure the yield will be reduced w/ all this crap but that's fine. I would just like to see something, anything lol. That's amazing though that they bounced back after loosing all their leaves. I sprayed some of the neem II, i read that the fungus gnats, esp. the larvae spread pythium so I wouldn't be surprised if something like that is going on.

The roots have turned to a yellowish/brown color in just these past couple days w/ the increasing rust spots. Too bad also cause they infested my LARGEST plants with the most leaves. O well, they'll stick it out.

That gardensalive page was a very nice find! Has everything I have been researching yesterday all summed up into one page, plus some. Thanks

I just did a Drain and replenish almost 2 days ago. The water smells a little bit unpleasant at the moment. It's a little confusing because I don't know if it was the wacky pH that is causing the current problems or the bugs. I'm leaning towards the gnats and the larvae eating my roots and causing the discolored roots, but I am not sure. I have Hygrozyme on the way, what I take from it is that the Hygrozyme turns the dead roots into edible material for the plants to eat. The hygrozyme will be here on Thursday, if I add that to the tank will that solve the root problems? Or should I really follow the 8 step remedy again just only 2 days later? Thanks

So these are my babies. I am worried about them. The first two pictures are two of my largest plants so far, and the most badly infected.

The first picture's plants roots.

Need advice please on what to do. Hydrogen peroxide? Should I yank those roots off? I think it was the gnats larvae that caused the pythium, they should not have rotted on their own. Temps were fine, humidity fine, air circulation great.

THE PH HAS SKYROCKETED UP TO 7.3 AGAIN. I am totally at a loss, I just replaced the water full drain and replenish 2 nights ago. Help? pH was 6.2 last night.

Just spreading out the light a bit. I already have the 2 so iIwas thinking I'd just upgrade the little one to a 250 as well and I'd have 2-250's covering a wider area, but you're making me think.

Hey - This is a little off topic, but I'm looking for recommendations of reliable sites to buy seeds online. I just placed an order through Dr. Chronic. I've dealt with them before, but they are expensive.

I tried to buy from "Nirvana" from the recommendation at the top of the page on this site, but it said I could not check out because I didn't have any available payment methods. Yet there's nothing on their site to set up a payment method. aarrgghh.

So does anybody have any other RELIABLE sites they could recommend to me??

Thanks much,
db

Roseman,
I have 4 trainwreck in the bubbleponics with sh nutes. They are real bushy and the big fan leaves are blocking some light that gets to the bottom part of the plants. I have been low stress training them, but this is a bushy plant. I was wondering should I prune some of the leaves to get light to more of the plant? I know the big fan leaves hold food so I am hesistant of cutting anything. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Are the number of leaflets on a leaf a sign of maturuity? Mine rapidly went to 9 leaflets per leaf at abot 10" tall? Are there any other charateristics you can look for to determine maturuty? Are nine leaves common? I'd be interested to hear from others about their own leaves. Thanks everyone.

Pete,

An 8 stage recovery is in order and then load with the hydrozyme when it comes in. Your still not in the unfixable trouble range. Just newby stuff so far. It settles down after a while.

Adironman,

Never cut a healthy leaf. Try ticking it out of the way to expose the bud or growtip you want to encourage. I do it all the time. A little practice is all you need.

Leaflet number are somewhat an indicator and the height is close if it's an indica. The big thing I look for is alternating leaves. Usually they are right across from each other but when they are not she's ready. How many days/weeks in eg and what's the strain?

DB,

Here's the two I use:

http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/

http://www.worldwide-marijuana-seeds.com/

Both delivered to the midwest in about 8 days and stealth.
