Default transplant question
I was wondering if you could transplant a plant from soil to a bubble planter. I have a couple of promising plants that I would like to transfer over but I'm not sure if I can due to all the soil

It is well and good as long as you 100% remove all the soil from the roots.

MAJOR TOM,
We'll both be having a great Thanskgiving weekend. My target date of harvest is Dec 5th, or November 28th, I am not sure yet.
How about yours?
And I am done with that Light Meter , can you use it?

Any secrets on how to do that? Cause I just tried with one but the dirt REALLY stickes to the roots. I just don't wanna kill the plant trying to move it

Hey Rose - Your plants are looking great man. Very good. You and Major Tom will be having a great Thanksgiving weekend. LOL I'll be thinking of you guys. Congrats!

Right now life is good. Catch a buzz, put on some Miles Davis (vinyl album thru great sound system), and work on stained glass. Only way it could be better is if I was also checking on "my girls" 10-15 times a day. The time will come though - the time will come.

Orkid1989,

I've done it before. You take the soil plants out and let as much dirt as possible fall off the roots. Hold them under the sink and with a small stream of water let it slowly wash off the remaining dirt on the roots. Then load up a netpot with about 1/3-1/2 hydrotron and drape the roots over the hydrotron and fill the rest of the netpot with hydroton one pebble at a time as to not damage the roots. Put you feeder tube just below the roots. It wil take them a couple of days to get settled in. Might want to mist them during that time to help with any minor shock.

hold it over the kitchen sink and spray it with the rinsing hose if you have one. You MUST get all the dirt off.

If not, then jsut dump it up and down in some water, if a root gets damaged, that is OK.

2 tsp/gallon is 2 tsp/gal... whether you're putting it in a 1 gal tank or a 500 gal tank...It's per GALLON, not per RESERVOIR....so, for a 6 gal res you would use 12 tsp. total
