first time dwc advice needed

hi there m8, ur ppm is way high should be around 450-500 i neva go past 500 ppm usin advance 2part they are very strong nutes. ur roots look nice jus look a bit red in the pic.... nice bushy plant tho....

p.s i only change out every 4 weeks....but thats me if ur happy and like changing out every 7 days carry on m8...

ok cheers for reply m8 i was useing advanced nutes calculator which says 80ml for 20l of water so i give 60ml and still seems to strong. there say around 1000 ppm. how many mill would you use m8 thanks

hi there m8. i dont use the calculator coz all the reading they give me is done on .7 ppm meter when i convert the .7 to a .5 meter it works out to 750ppm is the highist i would go (but i have neva gone that high) i would neva go higher than 500ppm try it and see m8...i have grown a few indica strains an have neva gone past 500ppm sativas i neva go higher than 400ppm...at mo i am growing super silver haze by mr nice and there in second week ov flowerin and my ppm is at 230ppm and there doin very gud i vegged for 7 weeks and my veg nutes was no higher than 250ppm...

if u have jus started flowerin i would put the ppm at around 250-300 for a week or so and see if ur plant are happy ( they should be) then up it slowly as the buds start popin and hold it at 450ppm then start droppin it at the last 2 weeks and keepin it around 100-150ppm then flush for a week....every one does it diffrent...but u will find what works for u and then u will stick to that way lol...happy grown m8.....(blue cheese nice smoke)

i use a .5 hm ppm meter i have a wand but i dont use it, i would use the .7 if that makes it easy for u. if u use the .7 conversion i would not take my ppm past 700ppm x .7 which works out to be 500ppm x .5...hope this helps...

If he is using ~ 200 ppm tap water then thats only around 900 ppm of nutes (pretty high for starting flower) but ive seen plants eat 1500+ ppm's in full swing.

true true he did not mention tap water ppms and i forgot to ask...at least he will see this and work it out...but advance nutes are very strong....my tap water goes threw my r.o system and i get 0ppm.....but thanks for the heads up...
