Hi there, i would like to say first off that this is a legal medical grow and any information gained from the viewing of this forum is for educational/entertainment purposes only. Thank you and happy growing ^_^

Whats up RIU.

Current Lights:

1 x 1000watt HPS for flower.
1 x 400watt MH for Veg.

Current Nutrients used:

VEG- Sensi Grow A & B, Botanicare Cal-mag plus, and a bit of superthrive.
FLOWER- Sensi Bloom A & B, Bud blood, Bud candy.
ROOT PROTECTION- Aquashield (all that is needed)

Current Strains:

Super Girl (Indica dom hybrid) (discontinued)
Colombian Gold - World of seeds landrace edition (currently 1st generation clone. Started from femmed seed)
Acapulco Gold- Barneys farm
Blue Dream - original cutting only strain from the late 90's.

With me working two jobs i have thrown some soil in to lighten the workload.

I use Roots organic soil and synthetic nutes. (strong soil, i would recommend this for novice growers, Holds water well but still plenty of perlite. No need to add extra)

I used to use pure distilled water, but having switched to tap and noticing no difference im now on just straight tap water.

Planted 5 seeds last night.

3 x World of seeds landrace edition - Afghan Kush (pure indica) femmed.
1 x Reserva Prada - Kandy kush - Femmed
1 x Dina fem - White Widow Auto - Femmed
I no longer germ seeds first. Just plant in rockwool with water and a heat mat.

Is there a reason for this? I never had much success just dropping seeds into rockwool....of course when I tried that it was with bagseeds that could have been too old or too young....

Either a seed is going to germ or it wont. And handling the baby taproot is no bueno imo. Also quicker. i have sprouts within 3 days of dropping them in the cube.

Yea, I use tweezers and place the germed seed taproot down into the cube so as not to handle the taproot. I've had the thing grow the wrong way just dropping the seed in, at which point I had to touch the tap root anyway in order to get it corrected. But again, my experience was with bagseeds that I had accumulated over some months and my inexperience was probably the biggest reason it failed for me when I tried it.

I've just gone with the paper towel/saucer method. Usually germs within 2 days then sprouts 2-3 days after I drop it into the cube.
