im going dmc a ? about starting from seed

ive done dwc once and had great results till summer hit and it was in a garage so it went down hill, now im in the house with a portable ac the question i have is last time i started from a clone well this time im starting from a seed so once the seed is germinated do i put right into the hydroton basket our do i put it into some kind of rooter plug for a while. im gonna use rubbermaid totes 2 plants per tote gonna run 2 1000 hps 8 plants per 1000 so 16 plants. once i get some eye candy i will put up some pics. thanks for any advice

Start in Rapid Rooter or Rockwool, I never or never would put a germinated seed right into hydroton or similar.
