So I ordered a pack of Ace,Plushberry,Qrazy Train, and got the free 5 pack of Qush. I'm starting mothers of Plushberry as we speak, so that will be my next grow after this one. Yea, I've heard really good things about jillybean so I am very anxious to see how they come out. Once I topped her, she became the bushiest of all. Oh yea from what I have seen so far Hydro blows soil away in rate of growth all day long! I loved soil for the flavors it gave my buds, but hated the bugs and mess that come with it. Hopefully hydro will enable me to bring out the flavors as well as soil did.
You wont be disappointed with Jilly, she is a beauty and a pleasure to smoke

OK so here we are at week 2 of flowering. Not much to see,but things are growing right along... Just completed a water and nute change today. PPM 900(EC-1.8 PH 5.7. IMG_1273.jpgIMG_1274.jpg Water temp shows 69.9 but that is due to the recent water-nute change. I keep the water temps at 65 with my chiller. I've been increasing my PPM's in increments of 50ppm each week until I see signs of over fert, then I will back off by 50. After that I will keep it there until I do a fresh flush at the last week of flower.

So, I've got a little horror story that happened last week...I started noticing some light brown slime starting to form on the roots just below my net cups. I added 30 mil of 35%H2o2 to my system(which is about 25gal.)only to come back 30 min later to find all my plants TOTALLY wilted!!!!! FUCK MY BALLS!!!!! I had to make a mad dash to the water store so I could flush out my system! I was in such a hurry,I almost drove through my garage door cause the motherfucker just would not open fast enough! Got to the water store(which is just down the street) gave them my 5 gal jugs to fill up. HOLY SHIT!! The guy filling my containers seemed to be going in slow motion(due to my stress)! Anyway, made it back home in 10 min(which seemed like forever!) changed out the water just in time as the lights shut off for the night. I could not sleep all night as I was sure that I just killed my crop!
Well, woke up the next morning just as I heard all the fans start up at 6am. I jumped out of bed,ran to the grow room, opened the tent to find that all the plants had recovered! Damn what a relief! So the moral of this little story is...Don't smoke 3 bowls then try and do metric conversions. I was going to take photos, but it would just kill me to have proof of the crop I fucked up!

I went to the Hydro store last week and came home with some Multi Zen IMG_1275.jpg. This was recommended for the light brown slime. I added 75mil of this to my system after I cleaned all my buckets with bleach and rinsed the slime off the roots. I've seen a lot of info on brown slime and have not seen anyone use this. I've been going to the same hydro store for years and have be-friended all the emps. there so I trust their opinion. I'll keep you informed how this works out.

Anyway...here are todays pics. Not much to look at. I can definitely see the plant has started to go into flower mode. Next week we should see some bud sites forming..see you then...Grow in Peace!IMG_1268.jpgIMG_1269.jpgIMG_1270.jpgIMG_1271.jpgIMG_1272.jpg

    hey ,cool grow dude

I am currently flowering jilly bean from sdcc and I dunno if the 3 cuts i got were mislabeled but it is definatley NOT jilly bean. its staying short and getting super chunky but not very frosty. it also smells like taho og or some other og hybrid. Im only mentioning this because Im trying to pinpoint what exactly it is! lol. it's keeping 5 blade og like foliage too, very interesting.

ive grown jilly bean from seed before, actually I grew it prior to getting these clones because I was hoping there cut would be similiar at least.

the blue dream and green crack clones i got from them at the same time are doing exactly as I was expecting and are very frosty though,

    keep it grean

Hey Intensive, a local, Right on! I never grew jillybean before so I'm not too sure what she is supposed to look like. I'm going to post my weekly update tomorrow after I do my water and nute changeout. If you get a chance to look at them, let me know what you think. I got 3 jillybean clones from SDCC and one died a week after I put her in my DWC buckets. I think mold attacked the roots. I got them in rapid rooters, and when I removed the clone I checked out the rooter and it was moldy inside. Did it come from SDCC this way? I don't really know, but the other 2(if they are jillybean) are doing pretty well. All 3 Tahoe OG's look like they have the Tobacco Virus. The leaves look camouflage with different shades of green on the leaves. I don't know how this will affect flowering or yields. As they have gotten older, the newer leaves look a lot better but the virus is still there. I was told from SDCC that this was a genetic trait of the Tahoe, but I could not find any info to support that. Not too sure what to think about SDCC, but where else is a good place to go around here? I just ordered 4 TGA strains last month from The Attitude, and started a Plushberry mother for my next grow. Don't think I'm going to go back to SDCC...Don't need to now! Thanks for checkin out the grow, and for the info! Peace!

yeah you know its been a couple months but I lost a jilly bean to a fungal stem attack too. I always quarantine new cuts and dunk them in greenscure to kill fungal spores and then I dunk them in azamax to kill any lil bugs that might have come along for the ride. IMO i wouldnt use sdcc ever again, it was shady as fuck meeting the guy in the hood at a fast food joint, and all the genetics i got from them took a couple weeks to catch there stride again, which makes me think there pretty worn out.

jillly bean normally smells overwhelmingly tangerine/orange like around week 4, and just gets stinkier and funkier until it finishes around week 8. its a really uplifting strain too, when I let another patient try it out his wife made sure to mention to me to keep that "tangerine stuff" around because he was always so happy and easier to deal with after smoking it. lol

Im pretty sure the "jilly bean " they gave me was a platinum og. its producing really well for a plant that looks like a og and smells earthy/metallic and slightly like tahoe og at 4 weeks. not much frost on the sugar trim tho, hopefully the buds will be good medication though. and luckily it stayed short and didnt get lanky, normally i dont grow og's because they yield less and take up to much space.

    cheers
