Cool UCDWC grow Journal- blueberry diesel, Kandy Kush, Gods gift and Diablo Og

    Ok first thing fist.
I am running 2 600w metal halide for veg and 2 600w metal halide for bloom all global greenhouse ballasts.
lights are in 6" air cooled magnum xxxl hoods. with 1 dedicated 445 cfm canfan.
    8 bucket system (expanding soon!)
phresh air filter on dedicated 445 cfm can fan recirc air in between both rooms.
I am using a 270 gph external pump for my under current/recirc
sunleaves 560 air pump and two inch air stones in each bucket.
fresh water top off is handled by auto top off lifter pump from ph'd ro res. controller by electronic float switch.
Canna Nutrient line + cal/mag supplementation
    Environment controlled by Sentinel chhc1
Titan Co2 controller ran at 1300ppm during bloom
5500 btu ac unit for cooling.

Clones are all from Harborside health center in Oakland,Ca. except for the diablo og (bug an disease free real clone only strains yay! lol)
and yes i know your not supposed to run so many different strains at once but this is how i am doing it THIS time only!
then i will dedicate the whole system to one strain an a time.

Veg Started from clone on 3/23/12

I built the whole system using the commercial under current systems as a model but tweaked em a bit for what i thought were improvements but we shall see!

Damn gotta get to the hydro store before they close i will be back tonight with pics! i will try to upload a few from my phone on the ride over

Looking good Stoneyk! I am also running 2 1000's in a 4x8, at the moment I only have one up and running and am wondering what my temperature increase will be after adding the second light. Let me know what kind of temps your running when you get them both switched on. What's your ventilation system like?

I have a 445 cfm fan pulling air through both hoods and exhausting it into my garage right now(in winter its my garage heater..lol summer i send it to the attic) but i also run an an ac unit that keeps everything at 75 degrees, during winter the fan is usually enough to keep everything cool but during summer ac is mandatory here, Your temp question is gonna be hard to answer depends on what the weather is like at your place and where you have your tents. I also hit up all of my friends for old blankets to drape over my tents i found it really helps keep cooling costs down since the air only run half the time it used to because it holds the cold air better.
Ive run this tent several times this is just my first dwc run with it, well more like a water farm hybrid but ya know...
I am more excited about my dual 600 setup to be honest i think its gonna do better its just more complete at this point plus i kinda like the 600's better you can get em so much closer to your canopy and they are so much cheaper to run than my old magnetic 1000 ballasts, even running on 240v.

Woohooo scored a nice little 1/5 horse chiller for my tents on Craigslist for $75
    Such a great deal!
Just got back home and serviced both of my chillers vacumed them recharged the 134a an the oil. And both are working like new.
Who says being a packrat doesn't pay off? Lol I've had my aqua logic and a ton of other stuff just sitting in the garage after my reef tank went down. Now I'm using tons origin for my grow.

I have also revised my system a bit since incorporating the chiller I am now running a 1050 gph iwaki external since the chiller alone requires 6-9 hundred gph to run.
So no more small recirc pump anymore now i got a monster.

    Back with a little update.
had a few issues my chiller was leaking so i used another an it leaked oil into my system. did an immediate water change but the plants still look like they got a little pissed off at me.
other than that, ive made a few improvements on the system.
paid $45.00 for a roll of 48"x25' reflective bubble wrap insulation and wrapped all the buckets twice and all of the plumbing as well. looks lik a nasa project now...lol
got my chiller fixed and back on temps are now consistently 65-67 room temps stay at around 78-80 with no a/c so far(till summer really hits at least)
    8wrapped.jpgwrappedres.jpg
the wrap seems to really help the temp stability as well as really eliminating any light leaks into the bucket
