this is what i think was the best idea
I have been a long time scrogger with coco since the start I have changed the type of wood I have used multiple times in order to still be able to get my watering can under the screen.
Ever since seeing DWC I have considered leaving coco and doing a bubble run I want to be able to screen though and don't see how I will be able to lift the net pot up and change my reservoir if the plant is being scrogged at the same time. I have seen many great tutorials on this, shout out to VoidObject for your post it was very informative you made it sound nice and simple.
Anyways, I have not seen a thread where someone has actually asked how one would pull off a DWC scrog hoping I can get a multitude of opinions on the matter. Another shout out to bluberry for trying to explain how he used an external res that pumped to his res under his screen I just don't understand all the small little nick knacks that the system involves it seems like I need to study the plumbing section in home depot to get a grip on the subject
Thanks all!

very clever indeed I just wish I could talk to some of these guys in person and learn their ways much easier that way![]()

I've tried about all the ways of doing it and still the easiest i have found is a simple pond pump (10 bucks at harbor freight) drop it in and empty bucket reverse to fill dont get any easier.and i also pull my screen about 4 weeks into budding and try to get some light to the lower buds.
first harvest 010.jpguh yeah i am aware of that also aware that it gets so dense that only the very top of buds get light i have almost doubled my yeilds my way but go ahead and think you know it all.the pic was taken tonight just a small plant i pulled from scrog to let the light in.

I'm trying to solve this same issue...
This guy 400w,DWC, mini scrog implemented a very clever solution to this problem. Basically, he can raise the screen/net pots as one unit in order to move the buckets. You can see more info at his thread. I think this solution is very practical for small-ish grows, but I don't see it as practical for my grow (4' x 4' screen).
yeah but notice he didn't get shit for yield.trick to scrog is to fill every square inch of space and it is very labor intensive meaning almost daily you willl have to give haircut and train shoots into place, after this being done getting to and moving your buckets becomes almost impossible the small pond pump will be your friend but if you must learn the hard way![]()
lol if you read the posts you would have noticed i stated that the strain was not a friendly one for scrog and i wouldnt say 1/2 lb out of that tiny space and a 400w is all that "bad" ether, but im sure your yields are much better lol. this little cab was built for fun i run another op that takes up a majority of my free timei can literally take my buckets out and clean them as need be no pond pump is going to do that for me. the easiest way IMO to do a scrog is with RDWC and call it good never have to move plants or sites just fill and drain with a seperate res not under the screen and all you have to have is some 1/2-3/4" tubing connecting them to a control bucket. its not rocket science i would rather have a control bucket to work with then fishing a pond pump in every bucket
