[QUOTE=dbkick;7506174]So poly (alpha) says bust out the ebb monster , I've had it for a year or so and only used it on one successful grow and then I didn't really use it the way it was meant. used it in a type of rdwc where I'd just drain back to main res every couple hours. with the roks I've got about a grand in that fucking thing and think I will pull it out . what's anyone else think? rdwc with the coolers as usual or ebb and flow like it's meant to be?[/UOTE]
run it in a ebb format for flower thi will make the plant reall expand as for veg i would keep it healthy and just recirculate. at least that's how i would run the system.
the point of the ebb and flo ultimatley is that the roots get a short dry spell between each watering(most water has been absorbed or drained orevaporated) so that in turn the roots can get the max o2 available then to be immersed again shortly after. at this peak state of dryness nutrients more readily absorbed. anyways ebb and flo, good system for flowering and getting big buds.
dwc is basically growing in soil but with water instead and rdwc could be compared to adding a drip system to a soil grow. DWC stands for "very lazy hydro that cn put out if your good at it" ebb and flow takes a little more maintenance but results will be better.
