First DWC. Small coffee can rez.

So I started a bunch of plants for my first grow a few months ago. Everything was going pretty good till my fiance made me get rid of them. Anyway, I wanted to try a bunch of different stuff so here is my DWC coffee can.

This plant was around 3 weeks into flowering. Growth was stunted due to the small rez but the net pot can easily be moved to something larger. The roots are discolored from my GH nutes, trust me, those nutes will stain anything.

I don't think the overall look of the plant was due to the small rez. I went the whole grow without a ph meter and later found out I was running around 8.0

I even grew two plants in one coffee can....haha gotta love it.

Good stuff but with that much room why didn't you choose to upgrade reservoirs?

just kidding dood! very macguyver of you to make that tho, ur gunna need more root space to get them big tho, late flower my DWC girls (2 month veg time tho) would drink a 5 gallon bucket in about a day or 2 most. REP for gettin down to the nitty gritty and drinking a pot full of coffee to get a grow goin, LoL!

Yeah, they were drinking in dry daily. Funny though, and would probably work better as a hybrid DWC/Drip system.

You may want to add a larger reservoir or add a refill reservoir that can gravity feed in slowly with the same nute solution, that way your nutrient solution in the coffee can doesn't dry up or when it normally would the added container would double the time it would take to normally run dry... Following? lol

I won't be doing this again. It was just a test (bag seed fun). I've seen the rez go dry for 12 hours or more, to the point where the plant looked dead. Added fresh water, and it was back to health within 2 hours. It was pretty amazing.
