That won't happen overnite. Cant tell much by the pix, but dont pay that much attantion to the color. The nutes could have done some of that. If the roots are mushy, then you're right. Cut off the bad parts, then drain and use 1 Tablespoon (3 tsp) of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide/gal. Let it run 24 hrs, then drain and replinish with normal nutes.... hope this helps!

Everything HGH said, and also get some more bubbles going in there - the bacteria that eat roots are anaerobic, so more oxygen = less of them.

Also, bringing your rez temps down (<6 would be quite helpful.

Good luck.

Doing both would help lots! More air and lower res temps.

i had perfect stems on my clones in a dwc then I added some hydroguard which is myco for hydro and i got all brown jelly all over stems. I take this as a good sign. I guess it could also be a bad sign as my system is open partially to light as a lazy ness on my part. But I also added a nice bit of 10 percent h202 and still I get this. Well it was fine before hydroguard and I added a lot, It is ver powerful.

Are you adding organics? OR any other biological stims? This could be a cause. Make sure your pump is as close to one watt a gallon as you can get it. I find it ahrd to beleice that with organics in a dwc, basically a big compost tea maker, lol, that some bacteria, good guys wont form. THat is what they look like. Bubbling bacteria is a good sign of aerobic activity. I am not sure you want that in hydro system as bacteria and fungi do play havoc with ph. Bacteria makes acid and fungi make basic environment. Ideally they would cancel each other out according to the well wishes of the plant and her exudates. That is how a plant in soil regulates the soil chemistry of her soil food web.

I dont mess around with threee percent h202. I use soke from bghydro that is 10 percent. It will bleach your skin! I am only doing one plant in hydro right now as a fun autoflower deal and I add pur blend pro and whatever other crap I have around. No complaints.

Any body know what this crap on clones in a dwc could mean?
