Ok so I have dont lots of research....but maybe I am really not that smart...lol....
Cause I have a few questions and recommnedations to help me out in buidling my system. Well to start, I dont have a tape measure but if I had to guess I am working with a 5' X 4' X 8' closet. For lighting I am currently T5 Grow light 6500k 8 X 54W. For best results I know I need a hps bulb which is another discussion. Probably looking at 400W or 600W I purchaseds seeds the short ryder plant for starters. I do have mylar to wrap around my walls for added results. I was thinking to be able to grow between 4 or 6 plants. Now here are a few questions I had in mind. First is what best size to work with tub wise? 10 g 20 g 5 g? Next question is what is the best net cup size to use? AS there our many diffrent sizes and I dont want to hurt my yield in any way. Nutes? Which I know is can be debatable, but for beginners and cost wise, Should I stick to the formula that just uses GH micro bloom and flower and the the grow. I forgot the formula's name. Sounds simple though. Or use foxfarms whole line of nutes. Next is when changing nutes and water, I was concerned about the difficulty of doing so. As thats alot of water to get out. and roots being exposed. I thought if I had a valve drained installed on bottom of tub, it make it easy to drain out. To keep clost cool as much as possible I was looking at those cool tubes hps lights. Am I looking in the right direction, because these are totally enclosed keeping heat transfer to a min. If a cool tube is the way to go, then I am going to need vent attach to it and exiting out. Meaning I need to get a fan to blow the air. Any recommendations on a cheap quiet fan that do the trick? For flowering I bought a huge 3' tall Carbon Filter Activated Air Scrubber. Has a 6" flange and therefore needs a 6" fan. I assume I could stick this in the closet and just run it? Or could I for ventalition reasons, create a negative pressure ( assuming there is a opening, that is light proof, to allow positve pressure to enter) attached it to the air scrubber, so as the air exchanges out from grow room, it is then odor is removed. I have looked around and gotten some ideas from various post. AS well looking at peoples grow journals and there bubbleponics. Does anyone have a good link to a step by step guide with pictures, or a video on how to make a bubbleponics. |

Oh and I know those seeds I got the plants will not grow very tall and are low plants, but I will be growing other plants to max. potential my cloeset will allow down the road.

Thats alot of questions. There are a ton of articles and post in here that you can read and get answers to all your questions. Like Advanced Stealth Hydro Bubbeponics Thread , Stealth Hydro Bubbleponics Systems and Roseman's DIY Bubbleponics Tutorial . That should answer most if not all of your questions. Good Luck!

I already read those articles, for some reason the pics cant show up on those articles.
However I answered a few, one the drainage... I guess I could get me a valvle drain from hardware store and cut hole and attach. Then use a silicone base to seal it to keep it watertight. I dont think the silicone will effect the water in any toxic way. The water pump and the manifold I need does it come with the neccessary attachments to attach them to each other? |

Depends where your getting it from, but most likely your need to get various tubing and connectors. I got mine and it came all together but now looking at it , its pretty simple design. If you could see the pictures it would help you out alot. If your staying around the 6-8 plant range all you need is a ten gallon tote and 4 in net buckets. 20 gallons your going to go through alot of nutes! I am new also to bubbleponics and one thing I am glad i did was KISS it! Keep It Simple. Thats just me though. I'll get more complicated later. Maybe some of the more experienced people will chime in. Sounds like you have a big budget so if it was me I would do a fast simple grow, get the kinks worked out and build big nasty setup! Just my 2 cents LOL!

First off. Im not sure if all manifolds do but mine was made out an outside drip irragation so i had to buy a piece from home depot that was threaded so i could screw it into the manifold and then attach it to my pvc pipe which fits my pump. I found mine at walmart for 5 dollars and then got that piece to attach it to the pipe with for like .50 cents. i used a 18 gallon tank with 5 inch net baskets. Nutrients are debatable roseman and purp seem to use the prepackaged pre ph ed Stealth hydroponics nutes that are soluable granules. that actually seem better and i deff will prob use them next time because they r pre ph'ed and more exact then using liquid nutes like i am....im finding it harder to use the right amount seems like it would b easier to use SH nutes. i on the other hand use fox farm stuff...and and alittle bit of liquid karma. ph up and ph down...and for now test strips but a digi ph meter seems to be pretty much a necessity. Draining the water isnt really that bad u could use either a drain like u said or a fish tank syphon or what i do...which i guess is what roseman does...i make my new batch of water with nutes and ph corrected water ina seperate container...then i take my setup and open it slightly and disconnect my manifold from my pump leaving the tubes still in the hydroton. Then i take 2 chairs and put them back to back about 2 feet apart and set the lid of my system on the chairs...allowing the roots some "air bath time"(rose lingo haha) apparently they love it..just dont let them sit out for more than like 10 mins. but then i take my resoivor and wash it out with plain water..and dry it completely....then add my already made water ph test it again and put it back together...in the time it takes for me to clean the res and put the water in it...is pretty much about 10 mins which is perfect cus then i throw it back together real quick and turn everything back on took me like ....25 mins at the most yesterday. And are u looking for an HPS for flowering? cus thats what they r made for not veg...if i were u ...id do what i just did...bought a ballast and enclosure made for either MH or HPS...so that u can have both bulbs and save the money on having to buy 2 seperate ballasts and 2 seperate enclosures. got 400w MH and 400 HPS and the MH is working fine right now..may end up using some cfls for side lighting later. but for now its good. couldnt tell u much bout the fan or cool tube things havent done much research on that yet....but i need to lol keep us updated wanna hear how it goes

Your da man SyNiK4L !
Lol...Well wouldnt my current lights be enough for veg. They are qicked bright. The 8 X 54W T5 grow lights 6500k spectrum. I really like your input on those nute suggest. Anyone else use stealth hydro nutes b4 and get decent results? They seem fair in price and that is where i was looking for those dual spectrum bulbs. |

ya ur bulbs are fine...i was just saying that if u decided that after this grow u wanna do another...u would prob b better off gettin one that can handle both bulbs specially if ur already buying a HPS ...cus then all u need to do to use MH is buy a MH bulb. usually they r 75-120 id say depending on wattage and whatnot and then flip a switch and ur good to go...deff worth it cus id say that an a enclosure and ballast for a HPS only would b only alittle less expensive but if u have alil extra money it would be worth ur while im really happy that i dont hafta buy another enclosure to use my hps i just swap the bulbs and flip the switch...lemme know if u need nething else.
