I have 4 plants. 3 larger ones and a little one. the 3 large ones look horrible. I need some help.

Got some nastiness going on the leaves. I've gotten rid of all nutes. using distilled water so PPM ~10, pH ~6.5 (too high?), water temp ~23C

Now I'm seeing what looks like over watering? I'm using a ~12 gallon DWC rig. Have two 14" air stones hooked up to a duel outlet pump rated for 30 gallons. The water level is about 1/2 to 1 inch below the net pots.

Here's a pic, tell me all what you think. Plus rep to anyone who responds. I hope my girls are not past saving.

you should be ok, just be carful with the nutes next time dont give them any food until they show new growth

plant that small should prolly get no nutes, maybe 200 PPM (parts per million) would be ok, but since you already over nuted just use plain water for now. Once they grow like 2 more inches start with a 200 ppm nut mix

what u see the ppm go down after a couple days you can begin to add higher ppms.

if the ppm goes up after a day it means you put in too much. so as long as everyday the ppm goes down a lil it means they are eating and hungry, but if the ppm goes up it means they are full ans you are feeding them to much, so add water to dilute


heres the link to the ppm meter. I recomend you buy these nutes also and follow the direction on bottles, but only start with 1/2 strength of what the directions say or it will be way too high. then follow the ppm rules above

yea thats prob nute burn, you can kinda see it on the leaves change the water and put like a 1/4th of the amount of nutes you put in before

Looks like nute burn but pH can cause the same thing. You absolutely need a pH and a ppm meter and the calibration solution to keep them accurate. You can get them off ebay for $20-$25 each.

I do have a PPM and pH testing. I use the ~ to be an estimate ( ~560PPM vs 563PPM ). The pH ~ is a bit different for me cause I am eye balling the color chart thing for the drops. Where should my pH be at for DWC?

I've got all 4 girls in ~10 PPM distilled water. Been that way for 2 days now, but my main issue is how droppy two of em are looking. To me it looks like over wattering, but that doesn't compute with DWC.

dont worry when they droop in dwc it means they are not very happy and maybe fixing them selves, i got this when i put little clones under my 600watter it was kind of a shock to them and they stayed droopy for like 5-7 days, i raised the light and tryed to keep them cool untill they recovered



ended up gettin 3.33 ozs off each plant in the end

As long as your pH is between 5.5 - 6.5 that's okay.

Here's an update photo. They look like they are getting bigger. However, it seems the brown spots are following the growth.

I've heard of using Hydrogen Peroxide in with Hydro stuff, how does that work? How much should I use? Will it help my girls out at all?

The spots are starting to show on new growth leaves! They have been in ~10 PPM water now for about 3 days, how long should it take to clear out all the old nutes? If that is the problem? Anyone have any ideas what else it could be?
