1st DWC, 2nd Grow- Great strains!
Hey guys 2nd timer here, first to the DWC world. Im using hydroton pebbles and 4 inch baskets in a rubbermaid tote. I bought a fountain pump however havnt figured how to hook it up right yet. The 8 way valves seem to be leaking and it only seems i have enough pressure to do a drip irragation off it..
None the less here are the pics, let me know what you think or any tips..
Im running a 175MH for 20 days 24hours a day. And they are this big as of now. When should i start flowering and should i do 18/6 at all??I have a 430watt hydrofarm HPS however I think that will be killer on the energy bill, I spent around 250 a month on the 175mh light for only 12/12 flowering last time

nice, i'm doing the same thing basically only a bunch of flouro's for veg and a 400 hortilux HPS for flower, i just made my own dwc bucket with a 16 gallon rubbermade and 6 net pots. just germinated the purple kush seeds and put them in the 1in rockwool cubes. What nutes u using?
by the way is the rez see through? the roots will green up and stop growing if light hits em
yes it is see through, im either going to wrap it in something or paint it:/
Im using General hydro 3 part floramicro,gro and bloom then added flora nectar and calmag to the mix this time.
This is my frist time on this setup, anymore tips/ help would be much appreciated.
No one curious as to what the strains are yet?

you will want to block that light out as soon as possible, if they start dying it will end up stressing them out.the plants look pretty good. what strain?

Looking pretty good. If you replace the clear tote with an opaque one, get one that's deeper. Your rez will stay cooler longer.
Also, you said you used the 175 mh to flower your last grow? The mh is the wrong kelvin light spectrum for flowering. The mh is best for veg and hps for flowering. You'll see a big differnece in the light change from the last grow.

Ya everyone says HPS is way better for flowering but ive been hearing arguments that the last 2 weeks MH would produce more THC.
Im going to ducktape that sucker up and probally make another res to have a perpetual garden setup.
The strains are.. Blueberry X Cheese, Purple Urkle, Lavander, The Purps, Bubba Kush.
How much higher should i grow them before i switch to 12/12??
