what does a willow tree look like // are u talking about a weeping willow ??

call me crazy but im going to get some fresh willow bark and branch and soak it for a while and water my seedlings with that
and see the difference between the ones i dont hopefully i see some sort of rapid growth

Does this willow rooting hormone seem to work better or worse then commercial rooting hormones?

so i tried this and every thing i put in it dies lol i collected the new yellow shoots, i boiled it for 2 hours let it cool for 12 and the refrigerated it then dipped some clones in some for 12 hours under light then planted no roots ever tell me if i did some thing wrong ...... id like to see this work

dont boil it! Mogie's is the first time I ever heard about heating it at all. I have used willow for years by simply cutting small branches to about the size of a pencil,filling a mason jar w/ it then adding water. let sit for a day or 2. pour the water into a cup and sit the fresh cutting in it for a few hrs. cuttings then go into rockwool @ use the willowwater to water till its gone.

I think any willow will produce the hormones. Try a google search for 'native willow northern california coast' (insert where you live) and check out the images that come up.
Willows are great rooters themselves - we wanted some trees to grow quickly at the back of our property, and cut a bunch of branches, stuck them in the ground (no care, no water) - every single one rooted quickly and is now a decent sized little tree.
