Default Alternative CO2 solution
I found this on the International Cannagraphic site and thought I'd share. Sorry if this is a repeat post. Looks like the entire system runs about $35 and then refills run about $6/month. I've been using the yeast, sugar and water in a bottle method but I want to explore this option. Anyone else ever used this?

Plant Gro CO2 System - Pet Solutions

Plant Gro CO2 System
Release the natural beauty of your planted aquarium. The CO2 Natural Plant System helps you achieve beautiful, thriving live aquatic plants, and ultimately, a heathier aquarium. This simple to use system releases CO2 into your aquarium for up to 30 days. Employing a natural fermentation process for CO2 eliminates the need for inconvenient pressurized canisters. Easy to clean and restart. Complete system includes Fermentation Canister, a pateneted bubble counter/diffuser and 3 activator-stabilizer tablets. Each tablet set works up to one month.

Yeah, I was looking at that a few weeks ago. It has it's possibilities. I am trying to take another approach for now, if it pans out...I'll let you know.
Peace

Please do, VM. I saw where you said you probably won't use the CO2 your next time around. I'm thinking of buying a 20lb block of dry ice and sticking it into the grow room and letting the "fog" blanket my girls. I don't know if the benefits of CO2 are realized only after prolonged and sustained use or if occasional "doses" are beneficial. Any opinions? Anyone?

Would this even work since aqautic plants are kinda different in thier make up.This would fill co2 into your water res reduceing the needed oxygen stunting roots. The co2 land plants need is absorbed via leaves and this doesnt make co2 air flow right it has to be in the water??

No. Instead of bubbling through water, you direct the CO2 hose over the plants.

Hearmenow, if you can get 50 lb blocks at a fair price, go for it! In my opinion a fair price is anything under $20.00 for 50 lbs of dryice. Get it in one block, not cubes. Periodic use is fine, but being a guy, and italian....more is always better! lol
Peace

Really you should look at CO2Boost www.co2boost.com it is more specific for plants, but it has a hefty price tag, really it lasts 3 times longer than the aquarium co2 kit. So I guess the 3x price tag makes since.

Here's my question, whats the difference between this and just putting sugar, water, and yeast in a bottle and shaking it. Oh... I don't have to shake it. Just stay with what you got are get a bottle of CO2.
