I'm on the Milwaukee program too. Started with the fish tank tester, but the longer I looked at it against the chart, the more I saw what I wanted to.
(numbers are kinda hard to screw up unless you are lex-dicstic

As for cal, a cheap cal solution (for pH) is distilled water. Will be 7.0 give or take a point. I have yet to cal the TDS and EC of my meter. I just do pH and 'look' at TDS. (Got to write it off since I can use it for work on the EC scale)
