okay, so i've been thinking about doing a 12/12 grow to limit height (yes i know it will hurt my yield) but i'm willing to take that chance because i'm growing for the expeience and i have limited space

questions:
1. do you know of any other way to restrict vertical growth than LSTing and a 12/12 grow?
2. does anybody know of any threads or articles on all 12/12 grows?
3. has anybody done it and can offer some advice/tip/tricks, etc.
4. does anyone have any decent estimate on how tall bagseed will grow under 12/12 conditions and how long it will take?

please offer advice and bare with my newb knowledge

try tying down the plant so its horizontal and allow some growth then flower

i don't know much about 12/12 grows, but I've seen a few threads on here, so you should be able to find something.

how tall they grow is totally going to depend on the strain ... bagseed can be anything really. you can probably get a good guess from them at a young age whether they're tending toward sativa or indica, and gauge your eventual height based on that.

i'm growing three plants in a large tupperware and i need to keep them from growing out of the top of it so..
what are typical indica strain heights with lst?
and sativa with lst?

so I would count on your height w/o lst approximately doubling during flowering. With LST, it depends on when you perform it. I started right after I flowered, so I will probably see about 1.5x preflower height. If you LST to minimize height only preflower, you would probably still double height, but only double the height you kept the plant to .. ya dig?

so i would start with your height contraints and work backward. 12/12 from seed is seriously some dwarf shit. with only a little more veg i'm imagining a huge increase in yield.

i'm thinking 24/0 for the first dtwo weeks and then 18/6 for two weeks and then 12/12 until harvest
that should keep everything in check and provide a slightly better yield
and i'll probably start LSTing when i start flowering
