One has nothing to do with the other. Spectrum represents "mimicking", in the simplest definition if you will, the power of the sun throughout the season. This is why the HPS spectrum is best for flowering since the "reds" are more prevalent in sunlight during this period when the natural growing season would typically come to an end.
