I've gone through it many times, you have to do a tad of math to make sure all your fans together draw less amps than the charger is rated for.. You can overpower the charger, but you run the risk of burning it out at some random unexpected time..

Its REALLY hard to safely stealth up any HID grow without alot of cash..

So, if the 5 minute rule is just for CO2, what rule do you use for dissipating heat? I was just about to hook a computer fan up to the 2.5'x3.5'x5' grow room because it only need 9-10cfm. But if that's not going to do anything for the heat and excess humidity, what size will?

There are a few companies that are putting out ac to dc external power supplies with a 4 pin molex connector on the end. CoolerGuys has a bunch of models. The sell cooling systems for entertainment cabinets built around 80mm and 120mm computer fans so they have a lot of items that could be put to use in a stealth grow. One of the external power supplies is 5000mA and they've got some kits that come with thermal controllers.

Ok, can someone give a little help with this? I have this power adapter from an old printer http://www.hyratech.com/product.php?...eed#googlebase and this fan from an old computer http://www.used-pcs.com/ProductCart/...idproduct=2596 (it's 92mmx92mmx38, 12v .55a). Don't want to be starting any fires.

That's not even a 12v power supply.

this is exactly what I was looking for... I was thinking about using a power supply for a computer and just plugging fans into that... this does the trick even better, and takes up less space.... plus I have no idea if using a power supply would work. Time to go dig for all the old computer parts from 1998
