Default DIY Reflector for smaller areas, GREAT PAR VALUES

Destroys the PAR values of a crappy batwing reflector, I have built plenty of these in the past they take about 45 mins - 1 hour to make aprox, You can make them with a sheet of Miro-4 or Solar tube / hammertone, anything nice and reflective.

Just thought I would share some knowledge on the subject.

This is for the 14" Version which is small, If you want bigger, Just stretch it out to the proper size.

What I did was take it to the local Kinkos, Blow up the heck out of it, Cut it out, and tape it to the metal, then pieced it together, and pop riveted it. The hole for the mogul socket just use a hole saw, and some extra metal with pop rivets for the bracket its super simple.

Anyways if you got room, its an excellent DIY Reflector, and If you have a ballast which you can get for Dirt cheap, a mogul socket is like less than $10 at any lighting store.

the depth of the 14" model takes up 7" of height space. but the concentration of light is phenomenal

Thanks, to bend the bends, you can just use a piece of wood to get a straight edge, the bends are roughly 8º-11º
Tools needed, Straight edge tin snips(yellow handle) Pop rivet I used 3/16" either size will work. and a drill & bit, Plus a hole saw or you can use tin snips to make the hole for the mogul socket.

These will actually work for bigger reflectors as well, you just need to tweak the specs of the dimension I have seen people make wider ones as well.

also

for the Bracket for the mogul socket.
something like this will work fine.
