you make it harder then it has to be.

all you need is PVC pipe, and cap for 1 end. you cap the one end and make a hole big enough to use the butane as if filling a lighter. put your clippings, shake, whatever you want in the other end. use anything like a fish net for scooping fish, which is what i use, or a nylon sock or stockings for women on the other end. now just empty a can or 2 of butane through it into a dish, and take your coffee maker, wok or anything liek that outside on your porch to boil it off.

If you do it right then it will look like mine when it drys. mine turns basically into glass until its heated.

actually making my extractor took less than 30 minutes and requiers little to no maitainance.
I also go through 3 cicles with each butane can.

One big problem with mine that I gonna solve tomorrow while getting ready for another batch is that I didn't cut holes on the bottom of the plug and only on the sides. the oil somehow gets on the top and stays there.

Nice tutorial. I use a larger tube with a ball valve on the bottom, so I can fill the tube and let my trim soak in liquid butane under pressure before I release it into the pyrex bowl.

I KNOW PEOPLE THAT ARE DISFIGURED FROM DOING THIS INDOORS. Butane is flammable (duh) so do this outside or in a REALLY WELL VENTIlATED AREA. Don't let anyone smoke near you while you're doing it. I have a fire extinguisher that I keep by my honey oil station; they are cheap and you should pick one up at the hardware store where you get the rest of your supplies.
