Have not seen this one so I thought I would share. I made a PC case but not much room. This was also much eaiser.

For the fans I use a 12 volt tranformer from a old train set.

The light meter shows grew light refelection with the steel, no marlar yea.

When I need oder control I add a carbon filter over the fans ( blowing out ) with rubber bans. I use an air duck filter from home depo and cut it up, $5 for a 3 X 3 foot piece of carbon filter.

The CPF are a mix of 65K and 25K . From 23 watt to 38 watt.

Just started 12 X 12 lighting, the plants are 2 1/2 weeks old now. A couple of weeks will go all 25K lights. Even though they look happy

The temp stays at 75 with lights on, 62 with lights off.

The fans in the back have a peice on black carbon filter to block the light leak, connected with magnets.

i was gonna do the exact same thing but mine was a little more complex.. it was a rubbermaid one with flat white paint inside, with 4 2' t5 fluros mounted on the side and 4 42W CFL on top with two exhaust fans on top with two inlet fans at the bottom ... i always thought that it would be alot of light to grow .. but this looks good im interested in it

Nice stuff man, i get the jist of it. But can you tell me how tall the bin is? and also how many plants are in there? is it 2 or 3?

This has got to be the coolest micro grow I've ever seen.

I used the biggest can I found that was shinny. I would guess 35 gals. Right now I have about 8 plants, will keep 3 or 4 any other females will go outside when they are bigger. For outside I just plant one to a spot, drive to new spot plant, some were right next to the road but with one plant no one sees. last year I planted 6 and 2 made it big. I live in new england so when I plant them after the first 2 weeks I just leave them alone until September. I have a bad back and only need enogh to make beer with fresh bud, some oil, some 100 proof. I am still using lasts years grow but will need to buy some soon .

I need a way to water when I am gone for a week at a time. The can holds water, can I just put a inch in can or will my roots rot in a week ? Could use help

You should be OK as long as you dont do it all the time ,Once or twice no problem

thanks. just couldnt come up with any thing. the best I had was a window washer pump, 12v train tranformer on a 15 minute time once a day, some plants didnt get enough but other got too much.

As soon as i read your first post i left the house to home depot to get me a can,
but they were out. (guess there are more growers around haha)

I'm just harvesting my first grow that i did in a speaker box. The box works fine but
am forced to flower very early, in this case from seed. But i will be attempting your
way for my next grow, so i can veg a lil longer. Good stuff man plz keep us updated
