You'll have to build a grow box (or buy one) if you plan on using HID, they need a lot of room between them and the plants so they don't cook em (plus optimal light distance is around 5-7in I think for them) . If you're not going to hydro with the rubbermaid - thought you were - make sure to put drainage holes in the bottom of your container.

Also, about heat sigs... nobody gives a shit about them if you're not running a weed house.

Ofcourse! but it's gonna cost ya. The cheapest hydro is flood&drain. U could build one giant box and flood it with a powerful pump or 4 boxes and 4 pumps/4 output pump.
Or dwc and alot of airstones. I was planning myself, to do one of the above. Size for me would be 4' or 5' feet using a 600 hps.
How many gph air-pump would u use for your 8' grow-box?
