Looks like he connected the "cool mist humidifier" to the little container... they sell those humidifiers at Walgreens for like 30 bucks, but you'll probably want to pick out a warm humidifier... cool mist just hasn't done it for me so far...

Same reason why I keep a heating mat under my clone tray I guess.

those things are cool but are definitely a pain in the butt in some ways, like the fact that you have to refill the dang tank every 20 hours or so.

I thought about the warm mist. They were cheaper. I may return this one and get another.

Yeah... I would've but the cool mist helps my lady breath a little better when she gets sick... so I kept mine for that reason...

Any tips as far as cycle times? I have also noticed that rooting gel doesn't work so hot.

I'll take pictures of it later, the clones wilted a bit because I have been playing with their cycles. I think the night of the cutting I will not use root gel and leave the fogger on for 24 hours (with a short break for a res refil of H2O).

After that I need to work out a time cycle for on and off while under light. I'm trying to find a good timer that is not going to cost a fortune. I have a timer with a 1 minute resolution but it only has 14 cycles per day.

Anyone with experience in this operation got any clues? I'm thinking about putting some clones with existing roots into the machine to see how they react too. As well as a seedling, why not?

I now have seedlings and rooted clones in the tub. They are in rockwool.

The timer is set at 1 hour on, 1 hour off. 24/hrs around the clock. I had thought about fogging all night and running 20 minutes an hour during the day. I wish I had multiple foggers and I would test all kinds of things at once.

I'm hoping that since they have exposed roots they should enjoy the cool mist.
