Like many growers who like to DIY their grow rooms, equipment, etc., I'm constantly on the lookout for bits and pieces which might be beneficial to my grow somehow. Like finding cheap lamps at a thrift store and tearing the light sockets out of them for use elsewhere, or maybe a high CFM PC fan in the electronics bin for cheap, things like that. I thought I'd see what kind of responses I'd get if I encouraged posting about various places/ways to get cheap (or, even better, free) items for use in your grow. Stoners are on the whole pretty ingenuitive and, at times, ingenious. I wanna pick your brains

For instance... anyone in need of decent, sturdy shelving for plants, resivoirs, whatever... check out the backs of your local gas station/mini marts. These mini marts get shelving as part of Point Of Sale displays which product manufacturers send along with their product. Once the sale for that item is over these shelves are generally moved out back (if not taken home by employees or re-used in the store for something else) for the trash man. DON'T JUST WALK UP AND TAKE THEM. Most of the time, simply walking in and politely asking will result in your being told you can take the lot of 'em.

And for those of you who enjoy the occasional mixed drink at home or at the office... Here's a product you can recycle:

Nice bubbler bucket for clones, complete with a drain. Or you can pull the drain off and use it on your existing resivoir or bucket. And you get some killer drinks in the meantime.
