Default quick vent question
In a small closet like grow room I have a 5'' fan on 7'' hose.

For maximun ventilation Do I want the fan at the front (Top of the room, blowing into the hose)? Or sucking the air into the hose from the bottom of, even outside the room?

I've now tired both, I used smoke from a joint to somewhat messure the flow and it seems about even with both set ups. but still not seeing as much flow as I should considering the power of the fan.

are you sealing off the gap between the fan and the hose? can you post any pictures for us to get a better idea of what you have? usually, you'd have an exhaust fan blowing or pulling air out from the top of the room. heat rises, so this is where it will be warmest. if you pull air out rather then push air in, you will create a slight vacuum in the room and keep any oder in the room, instead of pushing the oder out of any cracks.

k here are some shots, I did it with a cellphone so they're kinda shitty
the white box at the bottom has the fan inside.

The reason I moved it to the bottom(sucking air from the top) was because i was getting alot of pushback out the back of the fan.
also took the backing off the top 10'' of the inside of the closet door so the large fan is pushing air out of the slits in the top of the door when its closed.
Smell isn't really the issue, I'm going to add a carbon filter sometime during veg.
But the humidity is at about 65 and the tep is staying around 30C. from what I've read the humidity is way to high.
Also have a large ceiling fan in the outside room, as well as a 3.4'' computer fan on a 9v pointed at my main lighting.
Is the problem with lack of intake?. would more intake cut the humidity?

how about a shot of the whole room? how big is the room? you might just need a more powerful fan. what light are you using, and what is the temperature in the main room that you're pulling fresh air from?

I think i've fixed it, I now have the exhaust fan blowing into the closet, a 3.5'' fan blowing out, aswell as a 1' fan at the top, I took the clover off the top 10'' of the door so the top fan is blowing out the slits in the door as well as rotating around the top.
