Question lighting issues

my plant is a few weeks old and about 6 inches tall. i have to keep it in an inconspicuous spot outdoors because i still live with my parents. the problem is that in this hiding place, the plant only gets about 7-8 hours of sunlight.
will this cause future problems?

light for the first couple of months need atleast 18 hours outdoors, then once winter season comes into play it should be getting 12 hours of sunlight (dont think it needs to be direct sunlight) but i could be wrong. good luck and happy growing
