I think you can.. I let my clones go for a long time to the point they were little plants with branches bigger then what they were when I cloned them lol.. So if you want to try it, switch them to 12/12 as soon as they show descent roots......Micro dwc sog.. I like that =]

By the way guys... I didn't take enough pics to make a step by step thread for it, but here is my....

diy MICRO flood $ drain (ebb/flow) unit....Zen style

Made the "flod tub".. will be using 3" net pots



Here you can see the "flood tub" over the "rez tub". On the left you can see the flood tube.. it is connected to a small fountain pump in the rez. On the right is the overflow tube... that is the level of the water when flooding.



In action..




All put together.

Those foam plugs you use, do they have to be foam plugs. Could someone use a sponge? Or do you think they would absorb to much water or even worse cause molding? Just wondering. I am enjoying your micro dwc, cfl scrog, perpetual stealth locker it's an interesting read.

Well GypsyBush is using "pillow foam" with his cloner, and as you can see it seems to be working great =]...

Wolf if you put a 3" basket in the top of your res with hydrotone then set the clone in the foam to block light do you think that she will grow? When theroots pass through the cup just reduce water, balence ph, remove pillow foam, add nutes and start vegging? just somthing I was think about when I saw you cut your cups to get your roots through. just eliminating a step less stress on plantless work to do.

Using the cloner a lil. deferment today...

A couple of weeks ago I took come clipping from flowering plants to see how the clippings will re-veg... well I checked on them. One is dead, and the rest look like they are in re-veg limbo..





My girlfriend tossed some bagseed in her plant pots and... well here..





I chopped the re-vegging clones. Tossed their mini-buds with the rest of my trimmings for hash.





I replaced the clones with the little sprouts.. I just couldn't sit by and see them fighting for life in those conditions. They are much happier now =]

any suggestions on what i can do???

zen, thanks for answering my first question. im still trying to wrap my head around the whole hydro concept though. How do you maintain the ph of your water? ive heard tap water has a high ph, so how do i lower it? i dont want to use bottled water if i have to replace the reservoir every few days.

You can buy ph up and down at your local hydro shop. No hydro shop you can get it at the pet store. but, try to getthe ph tester that goes down to 4.0 so you can get the ph down to 5.5. I had to go to a hydro store for that. order online also. I will tell you I change my res every 2 days The first balence is easy the next day is harder you don't have to use that much solution. hope this helps... Wolf coming to the rescue your awesome man.

Great tut. i'm gonna try this one. Does your tape really block all the light out? i found that light can shine through this tape.
