i use margerine works good, perfer butter but dont always have it, also you could use vegtable oil, and that is what margerine is, so your answer is yes you can use

GROWFAQ here this is from RIU it says you can use vegetable oil, if that helps. You can use margerine just the same, or liquer, I perfer rum

The only issue with margarine is that it's a hydrogenated fat, and those are VERY bad for you. Butter (animal fat) is actually better, health wise. Other than that, though, you could even use super extra-virgin-first-cold-pressing olive oil, and cook the cannabis on super low heat to avoid scorching the oil.
