You know, I came on here looking for recipes for one or two, something less than the 3-400 $ amounts a lot of these recipes call for and yours is the first thread I loaded. We really need a section devoted to this cause. I'm gonna have to completely re-train the way my brain thinks about weed before I'll ever be comfortable putting a bunch of pot into any one recipe, and I want to be ok about what I eat/invest. Of course, this could change if my stash grows too large or old.
I reckon I'll/we'll have to do some cookin' and do it my/our selfs. Everybody else, jump on in. I just want a couple cookies.

Assuming you're really asking, to saute is actually cooking fast and hot w/small amount of oil, not butter (like in a wok)
I believe the method tnrtinr is suggesting would be heating the butter to a reasonable degree and adding your pulverized/smooshed up weed, stirring it pretty much constantly until it all melds (mixes) together. Of course, butter burns at a fairly low temp.

Exactly. You want to get it as close to 300F as possible (temp that the THC bonds with fats) which is tricky because the butter burns at 350F and it is hard because most stoves and pans will hotspot (even though butter is less than 350 - the parts of the pan that the touch the fire or coil will be much hotter and you will burn the butter and it will taste bad. This is how I cooked in the past, but it is the worst way IMO.

Boiling is nicer because you bring the water to a SLLLLOOOOW boil and you dont have to monitor closely. Crockpot is nice because you can leave it for hours and you never have to worry about burning anything.
