hi alll..............i recently added the most potent of my trimmings to a half-drank bottle of 151 proof rum.....I know it sounds disgusting
....i didnt really dry the leaves at all so when i mixed them with the rum it turned reallllly bright greeen then eventually turned so dark it didnt seem green anymore. I am just wondering if there is any harm in drinking this concoction. The chlorophyll doesn't look very delicious......THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()

i don't think you need to heat the green dragon to work as long as it is left soaking for long enough (ie weeks/months). I haven't made green dragon before, but I've looked into a bunch so I'm pretty sure it doesn't need to be heated.
but if it does, I agree with kittybitches about the fire extinguisher idea! |

THC is water insoluble, so it needs a carbohydrate string to attach to. Thus the alcohol as a solvent. or saturated fats as in cooking cannabis. It's not the heating, per se, it's the extraction and concentration. But THC is effective at room temperature. Since there is not likely to be evidence that something does not need to take place, but that if something were required to take place them someone surely would have documented this; please cite a reference on this if you intend to dispute my statement about a heat requirement.

Ive never heard of having to heat it up.
Good luck, tell us the outcome eh!| On a side note, isn't doing this the exact same as making a tincture? Except a more potent form?

Also, apparently decarboxylation is useful in converting insoluble THC acids into soluble THC. From the wikipedia article I cited a few posts back: There is some evidence to suggest that baking (as in "drying") the dry buds and leaves prior to adding them to the alcohol in either method increases the potency of the resulting preparation[1][2]. This is because the baking process converts insoluble tetrahydrocannabinol acids into soluble THC (see decarboxylation).

ah thank you for clearing that up.
I use tinctures all the time, Rub it in on my skin for a nice numbing effect. Had a bad sunburn, tincture it up and BAM, feels great! Quote:

What tincture do you use for sunburns? Which have numbing effects?
