Default Dry leaves before making butter?

I've got some leaves that I'm contemplating making butter with - the question is, should I dry them all the way before using, or are semi-wet leaves just as good?

My guess is Drying them and break them down so that it blend better.
I make weed brownies now and then. And I dry my leaves and leftover shake and use my mini blender to chop everything into powder.
It blends up real good and makes Kickass brownies.
