Default cannabutter stinks- why? first time.

i just took a batch of cannabutter i made using leaf and but from some outdoor that my sister trimmed up. lots of tiny pop corns thrown in there. the shit stank when it was simmering and when i took it out of the fridge it still had a stinky leafy smell to it. is this just what it smells like or is it because of the kind of weed i used?

the first batch, the stinky one, i made sugar cookies and after maby a day and a half -2 days the cannabutter flavor only left the slightest after taste that wasnt at all unpleasant. that recipe used a half cup of butter and made about 13 big cookies.

i made a second batch last night and made some rice krispie treats that i let sit over night. i had one with my coffee this morning and it still had a strong flavor to it, but ill see how the other pan turns out after it sits for a bit. it made 2 pans (6 treatds) each and theyre good enough that you want another bite after the first one.

I just made some cannacookies I put 5 oz's of trim and popcorn and yeilded an extremely potent cup of butter. I made some cookies using the tollhouse recipe and you cant even taste anything other than great cookie. I made some brownies once but they tasted..... odd. I think all the chocolate in brownies had something to do with it
