just finished making mine! its in the fridge now separating .
I used over 14oz of trim and fan leaves (mostly big fan leaves) plus all the stems from my outdoor plants, about 6 3/4 footers , with 1.5kg (3.3 lb) of 83% fat butter I added a LOT of water as the mix was sooooo thick i also let it cook on the lowest flame for about 20 hours , just because the there was so much plant material in there and i hadn't ground it up. i know many people say against this long a cooking time but I've made butter before and i cooked it for about 10 hours - there was too much butter and not enough weed last time but it still got me high, i've heard some people do it for days . Anyway i'll get the butter ready and bake some cookies and tell you folks how it is, In the unlikly event that it is too strong i bought some extra butter (0.75 kg) that can be mixed together with the good stuff to make it more useable.

I just made my first batch of butter. I made rice crispy teats and cookies. all came out good. The treats taste loike ass, the cookies were the best.

I used water. I liked the way it came out. I looked at it like clairifiying butter. the oil floats to the top the crap goes to the bottom.

The solids from the butter any plant matter. or mybe a beter way of saying it, is anything not oil goes down.

right but if you strain through cheese cloth you get no plant matter either and no need for water

good point. I couldn't find any cheese cloth so I just used a fine strainer and let it settle out. Do you think the water hurts the oil?

i think its very possible that the water may contain thc that is not getting put in to the butter.. u can find cheese cloth in your local walmarts craft section or painting section

i dont think thc would bind to water theres no fat... but idk.. my fudge turned out good by the way lol
