I am attempting to make hash oil.. someone told me about it

i soak the pulverized stuff in the jar with the stuff they say to.. i let it sit for days shaking 4-5 times a day to let it swift around...

anyway the problem is when i cook the thc/liquor mixture it goes from a pint jar down to a few table spoons.. I could really use some help..

does anyone know at which point when heated the thc would evaporate from the liquor? and also at what point does the liquor evaporate while being heated?.. i think i keep overheating the thing but this time i got a thermal termometer.. and i am going to monitor it more closely

Anyway.. my question.. is should some other chemical/substance be added to the mixture before being heated.. ive heard of adding some kind of oil or sometghing to get more finished product.


any help or a link to a good tutorial would be a great help as im about to try again tommorow..

Yes and ive found about 2 dozen different answers.. some say use coconut oil.. some say peanut oil i am questioning.. what would be the best addative or if i even need one

do i just strain the alcohol and boil that?... what temp and for how long.. none of the guides that ive found have been superspecific as to certain details.. ive tried several times to cool it.. and i always end up with hardly any finished product.. but its like super dark green stuff..

i think i might be putting the temp too high and evaporating both the thc and the alcohol either that or i need to add something to absorb the thc as its being boiled.. also ive also seen that someone sujjest using a double boiler.. some say put it right on the hotplate..

so no clue as to if i should add any fatty substance to the pot during cooking.. or if i should boil instead of put the pot directly on the hotplate..

I think you mixing up recipes... You can make hash oil that you eat aka vegetable oil + hash or something like that peanut oil,olive oil, etc, you can make hash alcohol which you drink. or you can make hash oil to smoke which is a butane extraction method. Basically if your cooking with it you heat up your hash/bud with the oil on a low temp for a decent amount of time say an hour and the thc will break down into the oil and you use it like you would olive oil in a salad etc. Thc alcohol is different here is a good green dragon recipe

and to make hash oil that you smoke from isopropyl alcohol 99.1 % or more here is a thread the guy did it Good ISO hash

you can also make it with butane honey oil - made using butane. a tutorial.

it called to grind up the weed, put it into the strongest grain alcohol i could find which was only 151% (NYC sucks)
then to cook it but its not very specific on how to cook it

I have never heard of the above mentioned method but have made green dragon and honey oil and both will fuck you up. if you already made it light it up any alcohol should burn off quick and what you would be left with should be something similar to hash oil with of course whatever else was in the alcohol you used or you could add it to some more alcohol and make something similar to the green dragon recipe and just let redissolve into it and drink it but next time I would suggest trying the butane method its easy and there is plenty of info on it already. sorry I can't help you out more but seeing as I have never even heard of this way its kind of hard to give advise.

there was a good post on this not to long ago. This is the way some dude was doing medical oil there is a utube vide on it like 4 parts. It's alot faster to extrac with butane. I'll see if I can find that post,.

you can make iso with alchohal in a jar with the weed and alc. and let it chill for a few days strain and boil off or evap. alc. or you can get a piece of p.v.c. pipe and a silk screen and some ronsonal and feed that shit threw the pipe loaded with broken down bud or trim and collect the yellow shit that oozes out and dry that shit, and smokme that shit. that shit is pure thc and will blow your head off
