Default If I dont have a coffee grinder....
Most likely a stupid question here:

If I don't have a coffee grinder, is there any good alternatives for grinding up leaves and stems for use in cooking?

Thanks!

what he was talking about is a mocahete pronounced moca-heta' and i dont think it would work to well since it is very gritty and you would lose alot. i would either use a food processer or blender if you have a large amount or just go to wal mart and buy a coffee grinder there not really expensive

You were good just crumbling it up, using your hands...now when you go to strain, youre going to have these super fine particles that slip through. Oil/Butter or whatever youre using is going to have no problem working its way around and into the cannabis...$20 you couldve spent on something else

and he also could have saved money using tin foil instead of mylar..

if you've got a spare $20 then might as well get your plans working properly instead of just skipping steps, unless your crazy poor that is

pestle and mortar doesn't work, been there tried that
