I made some Bubble Hash and have all this brown water left over that has been filtered to 33 microns. I was partaking in some of that aforementioned hash and got a brainstorm..... I think
I'm thinkin that there must be some goodness left in this brown water and I need water to make butter. After a couple more hits and following the logic that more is always better I decided to evaporate this water by putting it above my lights until it turned into a paste. I evaporated all the water on some of this and smoked as I would hash. Only tried a little, but I did get a bit of a buzz.

So far I have evaporated this water down to a consistensy of a runney paste. I plan to soften some butter and then blend in this paste. I plan on using one of those fancy mixers where the bowl sits below the mixer I do not remember the name. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this and what were their results? I have about a cup of the hash paste and was thinking of using an equal amount of butter to start with. I figure I'll start strong and blend more butter in if necessary. Any thoughts on this?


I plan to try this later this weekend. I'll let you know how it turns out, but in the mean time I'd appreciate your opinions or thoughts.

Hey RepoBob....I have done the same with the leftover water...let it settle for a few days...then siphoned off the water...put in a dish and evaporated the rest of the water and ended up with a huge chunk of hash! I tried it and found it to be better than street weed. Did you end up making the butter? What did you do with it? I would love to find a good use for it, I hate to waste anything.

what is your yeild with bubble hash. I plan to pull some extra ounces and wonder how many grams of hash i will get with bags of ice and hands or a drill.

also you could put it in a crockpot with butter, then the butter will take all the thc and then do the rest like crockpot cannabutter which works perfect.

Well I tried something a bit different this time when I was making Bubble Hash. Now, I line a 5 gallon bucket with the bags in order, and mix the frozen Trim, cold water and ice in a separate bucket with a cement mixer for 20 - 30 minutes, I dont let it sit, I just pour it through the bags and collect the hash after squeezing out the Work Bag. Then I set the Bubble Bags up again in the now empty bucket and pour the same water through the bags again, each time swishing the mixture around by hand to not catch the new work bag and tear it. I also push the work bag down into the water to resoak the Trim, swish, drain, collect, and reapeat untill I dont collect anymore of the Trichs (Hash). Then before I dispose of the trim, I put the work bag into the last bag, mine is a 20 micron, and run it under the fauset to waste. The object is to free all the broken Trich Heads from the mush trim. Believe it or not, I collected a plastic teaspoon on hash each time I reran the water through, over 20 times!

As I am convinced that I have collected the Lions Share of available Hash, I usually dispose of the used up trim now. Then I put 8 cups of the leftover green/brown sludge water into a deep pan with 2 lbs of Unsalted Butter, adding the rest of the water as it boils off, for 4 hours letting the mixture only boil slightly around the edges, and stirring often. I bought a potato ricer to squeeze the trim of its obsorbed butter, and by doing this I get back almost all of it. I ended up with just under 2 lbs of Cannabutter that ROCKED! 1.5 Tablespoons medicated me to the point equivalent to a normal smoking session. But 2 Tablespoons added some beneficial body effects, and made it difficult to walk a straight line, almost felt a bit drunk as I bounced off the walls trying to walk down the hallway!

Damn! You have to try it! One more way to utilize the byproducts of MMJ, and it is Worth It.

I have also started cutting up and soaking all of the stems after harvest in 75% Rubbing Alcohol for 3 months, I am 1 month in and tried a little on some hurting muscle and joints. It brought the pain level down to a manageable level, I cant wait till they have soaked the full 3 months. Thanks to Cat and Einstein over at HerbandLife.Org for that one! Now if I can find a way to medicate with the roots, there wont be anything wasted (unused).
