Hi All...just had a quick question. I have 2 males that are about 2.5 feet tall that I don't want to throw out. I am curious if I could chop all the leaves off & store them in the fridge as fresh greens. Could fresh leaves be eaten in a salad? I not worried about getting high...just want to know if eating Cannabis leaves is safe & healthy. I'll get used to the taste although I would imagine I'll like it.

just keep them for trim to makebutter or b.h.o.

The plants really haven't started flowering so no trichs are visible.

So did I...I guess what I want to know is are leaves without trichomes in the vegatative state a healthy leafy green like lettuce or spinach. Are they safe to eat?

Male plants don't even have trichomes do they? I've yet to see a male myself, but given that trichs are what produces/contains the THC, they either aren't present on males or would be very sparse.

As to your question, I'm not sure. Don't think it would taste very good anyways.

I got a stomach ache eating a bunch fresh leaves once. I got a pleasant body buzz which made doing yoga absolute bliss, and I didn't die, so desired result achieved. However, I would much rather cannabutter leaves then eat 'em raw again.

Edit: I've read numerous sources that say males produce more THC in veg state then females.

I guess u can eat em raw if u want. in my early years of smoking (9th grade) i put a 2 gram bud in a whopper from BK and ate it. It did absolute nothing and tasted like ass. I wouldnt suggest it as raw herb taste pretty nasty and there is no point in doing this.

I also just noticed a male in my crop and pulled it, it was just beginning to flower, would it be enough for butter alone? Would it even be worth using at all as it was early in flower?
