so i've been reading threads all day trying to figure out the right recipe for me. i was set on cannabutter, but then i saw a recipe for oil that only takes 2-3 hours, however, the recipe called for like 30 something ounces of oil and a QP of bud! i just want to use like 1/8 of some decent bud and make either some cannabutter (i assume 1 stick) or a few ounces of oil

how does 1/8 oz of mid grade with 3 ounces of oil sound? also whats the best type of oil to use? or should i just do cannabutter?

any recipes for small quantities would be much appreciated!

An 1/8th? That's possibly a single serving.

I'd wait til you have an ounce, and then use a couple sticks of butter, and make yourself some brownies or cookies.

eh? 1 serving? not really, especially considering the fact that i'm a light weight weed smoker....doesnt take me much.

i found a recipe on here the other day for 1 stick of butter to 1/8 ounce of bud but i cant seem to find it again.


if i did the oil, i'd plan on putting the oil into capsules.

I'm just saying.... You could get around 20 people high off the amount smoked rather than make one high by oral ingestion.

An orally ingested serving is typically 2-3 grams of bud(quite a bit less if it's kief or hash), an eighth is barely over that. I could easily pack 20 single person bowls from an 8th. Or 5 normal bowls with a 4 person circle.

yo dude i just stumbled onto your thread...heres my two cents on this subject....

i have made the butter..which is great for cooking purposes.

however....i recently made the capsules for the first time.

used 21 grams of some dank...they came out pretty good. the recipe i used didnt sound to right to me so i guess-timated the amount of oil i used...prob about 16 oz of veggie oil.

anyway, in the end i ended up making like 200+ capsules!!! they were size 00 which are pretty big too. the recipe i followed said that u eat 1 for strong pain relief, 2 for a 4-6 hour strong high, and 3 = buckle up & get ready for the ride.

mine were not as potent, im guessing becuz i used a little too much oil but still i eat 5-6 and im stoned as hell all day. they came out pretty darn nice for my first attempt....next time def will use a lot less oil. i am pretty sure you want to end up with a past-like substance that is black as tar.

anyways...here is a pic of what i used and the end result. i think ill go eat a bunch now!

sup guys? yea that Cap M Quik thing is a must for making the capsules...i was making 50 of them @ a time. Made it very simple and efficient.


Just google Cap M Quik and you will get the site i ordered it from. I got a kit that came with 1000 empty capsules and the filler and whatnot for like 30 bucks.
